Julio Foolio, known for songs such as Double That and SRT, was shot dead on June 23, 2024, in Florida at age 26. His mother, Sandrikas, announced a new documentary about him, sharing a video with glimpses of Foolio on her Instagram.
She started by saying that the documentary would be released soon and continued:
"The story that only I can tell because I know the Truths from the Fakes, I think Im the "ONLY" mother that keep it Real while MOST others know dam well what was going on with their OWN sons, this been going on since 2014-2015."
Sandrikas emphasized the women she mentioned in the beginning, saying that they had once purchased Julio Foolio's "CDs for their kids." Sandrikas further stated that the children of those women did the same things that were done by the rapper. She added:
"Them not knowing I stayed on you bout this beef ch*t , cussed u out, begged u to take stuff down and when I was SHOT 8 times, I spared their lives eventho mine was changed !!! 10 plus years ago u started this music stuff in Jax FI and had all the teen parties turnt, caught mega buses to ATL at 16 for your career."
Sandrikas ended by expressing gratitude towards all those who played an important role in Foolio's career. The comments section was flooded with tributes to Julio, with some of them recalling their collaborations with him.

As mentioned, Julio Foolio was killed on Sunday in Florida outside a hotel. The incident happened on the occasion of Julio's birthday and while speaking to NBC News, Foolio's attorney Lewis Fusco revealed that he was shot in the parking area.
The police officers were called to the spot at 4:40 a.m. and they discovered a few vehicles with bullet holes. Apart from Foolio, three more people were injured and they were immediately taken to the hospital. However, Julio succumbed to his wounds before being hospitalized.
The Tampa Police Department has already launched an investigation and police chief Lee Barcaw has now revealed that the gangs linked to the incident are residents of Jacksonville.
On the other hand, Sheriff T.K. Waters refused to reveal more details on the gangs after appearing at a press conference, adding that they won't "tolerate any retribution, any revenge." He further stated that Julio Foolio's murder is the one incident linked so far to Jacksonville gangs and continued:
"We're going to watch. We're going to pay attention to what's going on."
T.K. Waters also requested everyone to keep a watch on the gangs who have been involved in some kind of dispute. He said that the police department would follow each culprit individually if needed and keep everything a secret so that such incidents are not repeated.
