Drake has been busy collaborating since his recent beef with Kendrick Lamar. The 6 God rapper made a guest appearance in Snowd4y's Wah Gwan Delilah earlier this month and was also credited for Sexyy Red's track U My Everything, where he rapped over Metro Boomin's instrumental.

Now, Drake has teamed up with Camila Cabello on her latest studio album, C,XOXO. Following the release of the 14-song album on June 28, Drake posted photos of himself and Camila Cabello from their recent vacation together. In the caption, he thanked the Havana singer for the 'link up.'

Fans have been going gaga in the comment section. One Instagram user commented:

Drizzy has made a guest appearance in two songs belonging to Cabello's latest album.

The first one, Hot Uptown, is produced by Yogi, El Guincho, Boi-1da, and Jasper Harris. The song has a vintage summer feel to it, and the dance energy of the beat is kept as an afterthought.

"Nike mi shoemaker (Yeah-yeah, yeah)/Benz a mi car maker (Yeah-yeah, yeah)/Tiffany mi ring maker (Yeah-yeah)/Let me grip on your money maker (OK). Grip on your money maker (Okay)/Hotline, ah gon' bling later (Okay)/Trust me, we ah link later, aye," raps Drizzy in Hot Uptown.

Drizzy's second appearance is on the track Uuugly, produced by The Kid Masterpiece, Jasper Harris, and El Guincho. This song has a slower beat than the first one, and Drake croons over a track with no bassline.

"We should just take the things I say as truth/There's not a measuring tape long enough that could measure the distance that I went for you/Please don't make me, please don’t make me/Don't make me pull out these credit card statements and show you the proof/It'll get ugly, uh-uh-uh, ugly," sings Drake.

In a prior interview with Complex Magazine, Cabello had elaborated on her love for rappers and had expressed her desire to collaborate with them at one point.

"I listened to rap that I grew up with in Miami and what was popular at the time," she told Complex Magazine. "But I didn't listen to Illmatic and I didn't listen to Dr. Dre and a lot of the classic hip-hop albums from before," Cabello told Complex Magazine.

Fans are hoping that the collaboration turns out to be a hit for both Camila Cabello and Drake so that they can be treated to more collaborations in the future.

Camila Cabello reacts to infamous Drake-Kendrick Lamar beef

The Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar beef captured significant attention in the hip-hop industry. Dubbed one of the biggest diss-track battles of modern hip-hop, it peaked when the two released three back-to-back diss tracks in May. Kendrick Lamar recently held his first live event since the feud, called The Pop Out: Ken & Friends, where he performed his track Not Like Us a total of five times.

In a June 2024 interview with The Times, Camella Cabello addressed the Drake-Kendrick fiasco and the effect it has had on Drizzy. According to the 27-year-old, she was with Drake during the aftermath of Not Like Us and revealed that the diss track had a significant effect on Drizzy.

"It's so frustrating to see people talk about someone you know in a negative way," commented Cabello.

Furthermore, she urged the two to make up for their lost love and perhaps have dinner or something!

"You're like, 'Dang, if only you guys could just have dinner or something,'" she concluded

Since their release, Hot Uptown and Uuugly have been streamed almost fifty thousand times within approximately twenty-four hours. On YouTube, Uuugly has amassed 182K views, while Hot Uptown has garnered 95k views.
