Rapper Lil Reese's arrest was apparently witnessed by Boosie Badazz
Amid the chaos surrounding Lil Reese's arrest, there was one witness, Boosie Badazz, who recently had his federal gun charge dropped. Boosie took to social media to reveal that he witnessed Reese being taken into custody.
According to Badazz, he was at a hotel in downtown LA when he saw the police arresting Reese. Initially, it was not revealed that Reese was arrested on s*xual assault allegations. As reported by HotNewHipHop, Badazz explained in a clip:
"He came out handcuffed. They had all his bags, so if any y’all Lil Reese people, y’all need to check on him. They just took him to jail. Some woman said he lied on him or some s###."
He further added:
"Any of Reese’s people, the Grim Reaper people, they just took him to jail downtown L.A. and put him in a car. Y’all need to tap in with your people."
As reported by TMZ, the 31-year-old rapper was later released on a bond of $100K. No further information about the incident has been revealed yet.
While Boosie Badazz might be celebrating his latest legal victory, his fellow rapper Reese seems to have found himself embroiled in new legal trouble.
Lil Reese had reportedly found himself in legal troubles previously too
While netizens recently learned about Reese's arrest, it is worth noting that this is not the first time that the rapper has been taken into custody. In January 2023, he was freed from prison after serving a seven-month sentence for allegedly assaulting a family member.
In June 2021, Reese faced domestic abuse charges. Police reportedly arrived at the scene and found a woman, identified as Reese's girlfriend, who accused him of assaulting her by pulling her hair and punching her in the face.
In 2013, Reese was taken into custody after a 2012 video surfaced, allegedly showing him beating a woman. The rapper was charged with criminal trespass, mob action, and battery. The woman claimed that she found about 20-25 people at her house, including the rapper, who pushed and slapped her when she asked them to leave.
In a tweet that was later removed, Reese claimed that the video was made several years ago and was released then by "haters." In 2010, Lil Reese pleaded guilty to burglary charges.
Additionally, Reese was a victim of gun violence in 2021. Three people, including Reese, were hospitalized after a shooting in a Chicago parking lot.
Over the years, Lil Reese has faced several legal troubles, including charges related to trespassing, assault, and burglary.
