Chappell Roan recently uploaded a new video on TikTok clarifying her stance on the upcoming Presidential elections. Stating how she is not feeling pressured to endorse any of the candidates, she made it clear that she is not in favor of Donald Trump, without specifying if she is in support of Kamala Harris.
In her video, Chappell Roan said:
“This is my third election in voting, and I think the world is changing so rapidly. And I want to be a part of the generation that changes things for good because we need it.”
She continued:
“Hear it from my mouth, if you’re still wondering. No, I’m not voting for Trump and yes, I will always question those in power and those making decisions over other people. And I will stand up for what’s right and what I believe in. And like, it’s always at the forefront of my project.”
Chappell Roan’s video came in just after her interview with The Guardian went viral, as she claimed in the interview that she has “so many issues” with the US Government. However, her recent video also started making rounds on social media platforms, and netizens were prompt to react to the same.
As an X user, @PopCrave uploaded the video on the platform, users commented on their reactions.
“There's no need to address everything,” one social media user said.
On the other hand, others also commented:
“Oh lord.. here we go again,” wrote one X user.
“Thx but all u had to say was, I’m not voting for Trump,” stated another.
“You have to decide if you stand for LBGTQ rights or not. There's no middle ground,” added another social media user.
“Took her long enough,” exclaimed one more user on the post.
“Why is she always making explanation videos and complaints TikToks,” asked another.
“There are so many things that I would want to change”— Chappell Roan’s previous statement revisited as singer clarifies stance
Chappell Roan has once again made headlines as she tried to clarify her stance on the upcoming US Presidential elections. The confusion started after her interview with The Guardian, published on September 20, 2024, started receiving critical comments from the masses as she called out the current government and stated that she had many issues with them.
In her interview, Chappell Roan said:
“I have so many issues with our government in every way. There are so many things that I would want to change. So I don’t feel pressured to endorse someone. There’s problems on both sides. I encourage people to use your critical thinking skills, use your vote – vote small, vote for what’s going on in your city.”
Chappell Roan concluded by talking about the “change” she wants to see in the country, and stated that she would want the government to focus on “trans rights.” She also said:
“They cannot have cis people making decisions for trans people, period.”
The elections in the United States of America are set to take place in a little over a month, on November 5, 2024.
While Joe Biden initially contested the elections against Donald Trump, the current President withdrew his candidature, and endorsed the current Vice President, Kamala Harris, in place of him as a candidate.
