Lil Woody has been one of the main witnesses in the ongoing YSL RICO trial. He was already trending in the headlines earlier this month after the jury asked him if he would testify for another time. Meanwhile, he has grabbed attention once again after his recent appearance in court.

The rapper was spotted going on a rant as he went to the stand during the trial, admitting that he had lied to the authorities in the past. He further stated:

"I made things up, I told you this before y'all brought me in this courtroom, and I'm telling you now. You asked me about 2015. I had got my life together. Y'all are trying to put this on my conscience, y'all are trying to put people's lives in my hands."

Lil Woody said that he does not want to continue lying since everyone knows that they are wrong. He requested that he should be left alone and continued:

"Man, y'all pissing me off. Listen, I don't recall nothing I said to no police, stop asking me these questions. I'm telling you I don't recall. That's what you want me to say?"

Woody's statement was also recorded on video and it was acquired by No Jumper, who shared the same through their official Instagram page. Netizens took to the comments section of the post to share their responses, with one of them writing:

Lil Woody returned to the court to testify for another time

Also known as Kenneth Copeland, he decided to testify in the RICO trial after understanding the terms and conditions of the same. Judge Paige Reese Whitaker informed the jury that they had to ignore any other testimony given by Woody after June 12, 2024.

Lil Woody came to the stand and while Deputy District Attorney Simone Hylton started his questioning, Copeland was not able to remember anything about his whereabouts on January 10, 2015. He was seemingly indicating that he was not willing to respond to the questions of the attorney.

He additionally stated that he was not willing to help Young Thug or say something that could land him in prison. Although the defense made a motion for mistrial, Whitaker dismissed the same, warning Hylton that she should choose her words carefully.

The state prosecutor then asked Lil Woody if he murdered Donovan "Nut" Thomas, adding that he would be sent to jail if he accepted the accusation. While he appeared confused after being questioned about the murder, the court went for a lunch break so that Woody could speak to his lawyer.

Notably, during his last appearance at the court on August 6, 2024, Woody was questioned by the judge if he would plead the Fifth Amendment when he returned to testify. Woody replied at the time:

"It depends on how I wake up."

Lil Woody's court appearances have been in the headlines this year after he repeatedly said "yes" when he was questioned about the murder of Donovan. He was even arrested in June this year for the same and while the RICO trial continues, further updates are awaited on when the trial would exactly end.
