The music video for Not Like Us featuring Tam's Burgers' Compton location has boosted the restaurant chain's sales by approximately 40% and increased video viewership, attracting more customers to the restaurant.
Furthermore, Kendrick Lamar is heard rapping the following words in the track:
"I be hangin' out at Tam's, I be on Stockton. I don't do it for the 'Gram, I do it for Compton."
The news of the sales was confirmed by the outlet's manager Lauro Hernandez and his son Bryan Noe. They shared that apart from the boost in sales, tourist attraction for the spot has additionally witnessed an increase. Noe said that the bacon cheeseburger has been the common choice for customers.
Notably, Kendrick Lamar remains an important part of the local community for around 20 years and Noe expressed gratitude to the rapper for giving his support until today.

It also broke streaming records on platforms such as Spotify and managed to grab the second spot on the annual Songs of the Summer chart by Billboard.
Meanwhile, tennis star Serena Williams recently gave the title of "Hit of the Summer" to Kendrick Lamar's song. During her recent appearance at the Essence Festival, Williams addressed her love for the single by saying:
"I love that song. It's like the hit of the summer. When they play that jam, I'm jamming. That jam is jamming."
On the other hand, Not Like Us has also created another record by getting more views in four days, surpassing Drake's diss track, Family Matters. The video, which came out on July 4, 2024, has received 37 million views and this is 2 million more compared to Drake's song.
The video starts with Kendrick Lamar rapping and well-known faces from the world of hip-hop slowly start appearing in the clip, including DeMar DeRozan. Lamar can be spotted dancing with his partner Whitney Alford and their two kids at one point.
The video additionally features Kendrick attacking an owl pinata and he appears inside a car along with record producer and DJ Mustard riding shotgun. Apart from appearing in the video, Lamar also serves as the director alongside Dave Free.
Kendrick Lamar also performed Not Like Us five times during his latest concert, The Pop Out: Ken and Friends, which was held on June 19, 2024. The event was available for live streaming on Amazon Prime Video and it witnessed the appearances of artists such as Dr. Dre, Tyler, the Creator, and more.
