Ty Dolla Sign made his way to the spotlight after fans started mocking him for a recent mistake he made during his concert held in a club during the weekend. In a video floating on social media, the rapper can be heard stating that Vultures 2 is the number one album in the country.

However, many started pointing out that the statement was misquoted by Ty Dolla Sign, as Vultures 2 is not the number one album, as Billboard 200 has named Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department as the number one album. Nonetheless, Ty’s collaborative album with Kanye is still at number two on the list.

The video was then shared by an X account, @GoodAssSub, and one social media user reacted by saying:

“They’re both too high on nitrous to understand billboard and Apple are different.”

Other also mocked Ty Dolla Sign for his mistake and commented:

“Old head saw himself #1 on Apple Music and thought it was billboard,” commented one netizen.
“TY so funny man he be having no idea at all,” wrote another social media user.

While some defended the rapper and shared their opinion about the same.

“I mean we can all pretend Taylor Swift never existed and I'm good with that,” stated another X user.
“Embarrassing even more embarrassing these songs have potential and you ruined it,” wrote another.
“Technically Taylor swift doesn’t count,” exclaimed another X user on the post.

The Tortured Poets Department topped the Billboard chart at number one, while Vultures 2 ranked second. On the other hand, the other Top 5 albums on the chart were The Rise and Fall of A Midwest Princess by Chapell Roan, One Thing at A Time by Morgan Wallen, and Hit Me Hard and Soft by Billie Eilish.
