During his sit down with CBS News, he spoke about how many people back in 2015 thought that Post Malone was trying to imitate Black artists and said that he was “a kid” back then. He revealed that he dealt with the mockery by drinking.

“It sucked. I was a kid. It’s not for people who hate you. It’s for the people who love you, and for yourself, you know what I mean?” he said.
