Charlamagne Tha God recently shared a few words about Michael Jackson when he appeared on the Brilliant Idiots podcast on October 5, 2024. Notably, the King of Pop passed away back in 2009 and the incident remains a topic of debate for different reasons.
During the latest conversation on the podcast, Charlamagne Tha God was speaking about the ongoing legal issue of Diddy with Andrew Schulz, when he started said:
"There's only one person I believe, in Hollywood, who people conspired to actually take down. I'm talking about a mass conspiracy... I think that there's one person who they really took down because he had too much power and I believe that person was Michael Jackson."
Also known as Lenard Larry McKelvey, he claimed that a black man is always powerful when he owns half of the music industry. Charlamagne even recalled the time when Sony paid $750 million in 2016 to acquire Jackson's 50% stake in Sony ATV Music Publishing.
Charlamagne continued claiming that all of this is a conspiracy theory and added:
"I believe Michael Jackson had too much power in the music industry, had too much control over the most valuable asset in music which is people's publishing. And I believe they had to take him out because of that, smear his name, eventually get him up out of here."
He again referred to Michael by saying:
"He's the one person I believe actually they ruined his reputation and ultimately killed him."
Rumors of an underground tunnel connecting Michael Jackson and Diddy's house recently went viral
Also known as Sean Love Combs, Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, on charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. While there was a grand jury indictment related to the raids conducted at his house in March this year alongside the footage where he allegedly assaulted Cassie Ventura, a new rumor started making rounds online.
The rumor went viral from Reddit on September 28 after an anonymous person with the username u/Sad Ball4496 addressed a video where an "underground tunnel" was allegedly discovered between Diddy and Michael Jackson's residence.
The tunnel reports started getting more attention when another person with the username @nene_george shared the same video on Instagram and a voice in the background claimed that FBI agents went inside Sean's bedroom, finding that the "floor near the bed appeared to have been recently disturbed." The voiceover also stated:
"One of the officers then moved the bed aside, that's when they made an unbelievable discovery – an entrance covered only by a rug… the walls of the tunnel appeared newly constructed… as they moved deeper the officers found strange items on the floor such as children's clothing."
However, the claims have not been confirmed by the official authorities until now. Similar rumors went viral in March this year, a fake photo, allegedly from CNN, claimed that there were underground tunnels at Diddy's residence. CNN representative Emily Kuhn later stated through an email that the picture was manipulated.
According to a Style Caster article published on October 1, Diddy and Jackson never had a close friendship and were once spotted together at a VMA party of Diddy, which was held back in 2003. While appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2009, Diddy claimed that although he had a desire to work with Michael Jackson, they could not adjust their schedule for the same.
Diddy is scheduled to be taken to court on October 9, 2024. He was taken to the Brooklyn-based Metropolitan Detention Center, where he remains.
