Nicki Minaj has posted a lengthy statement shortly after her release by the Dutch authorities. As the rapper and singer was allegedly taken into custody on the suspicion of exporting soft drugs, Minja quickly made her way out as she was on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour.

In her post on X, Nicki explained all that happened to her and claimed how “they succeeded at their plan.” Minaj said:

“That’s why they had to do the big song & dance b/c they knew I’d still find a way to perform even if it came down to my last 90 minutes in the building which would have been until 1130pm. The building was willing to go past 11 pm. So grateful to them for that. So they succeeded at their plan to not let me get on that stage tonight.”

She continued:

“I succeeded @ getting to the root of it all by recording them & posting everything in real time. I have sooooooooo much video evidence. You wouldn’t believe it if I told you. I’ll have the lawyers & GOD take it from here tho.”

She then concluded the post by apologizing to all those who had come to attend her concert, but were unable to, as it had got cancelled last minute. She also stated how “they have been doing it over and over again,” however, she claimed that she wanted her fans and followers to “get the good stuff.”

Fiasco explored as Nicki Minaj was detained by authorities at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport

Nicki Minaj’s airport fiasco took place on May 25, 2024, while she was travelling to Manchester from Amsterdam for her show. As the rapper got detained, she started an Instagram live session where she showed authorities accusing her of possessing drugs. As Nicki Minaj constantly asked the authorities for a lawyer, she also filmed a man who asked her if she could appear for a thorough check.

She then accused the airline, and claimed that they were trying to “sabotage” her tour, as she wrote in the caption:

"They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show. They took my bags before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now saying they’re waiting on customs. This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they’ve done is illegal."

In her videos, a cop also tried to accuse her of possession of drugs, to which Nicki Minaj said:

"I’m not carrying drugs. I’m not carrying drugs. I am not going in there. I need a lawyer present. No, I need a lawyer present now."

However, the cops then informed Minaj that she was getting arrested, to which Nicki protested and asked them the reason for the alleged arrest.

In her post made on May 26, 2024, after her release, Nicki Minaj also stated that she and her team were trying their best to compensate for the show that was missed due to the fiasco. She stated that the team and her are discussing June and July options. She confirmed that she would still be performing in Manchester on May 30.
