"They treat Kendrick Lamar like he is different" - Oschino says fans should have had the same outrage for Andrew Schulz's remarks about Meek Mill

Former State Property rapper Oschino defends Andrew Schulz's remarks about Kendrick Lamar and the subsequent backlash. A clip from the rapper's recent interview shared on the Instagram account @zairethinker on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, shows the rapper discussing Schulz's comedy.

When the interviewer brought up the comedian's comments about Lamar, Oschino expressed his love for the former's work and added:

"But you gotta remember he is a comedian. Comedian say shock value. Kendrick Lamar saying something about it makes it even bigger. I wouldn't have even said anything about it cause he's a comedian. That's what they do."

He continued:

"But why they ain't say nothing when he said something about Meek? They treat Kendrick Lamar like he is different."

Oschino is referencing Schulz's comments made on his podcast Flagrant on December 4. The comedian discussed Lamar potentially dissing him on the track wacced out murals (from his latest album, GNX). In response, Schulz went on a fiery rant calling the point hypocritical and even making a joke about r*ping the Compton rapper.

Oschino also brought up Schulz's remark about Meek Mill during a standup show back in March 2024. At the time, the podcaster joked that he didn't think Mill was "gay" but rather that he was "incredibly bad" in "proving he (was) straight."

"Drake got a whole country behind him,"- Oschino praises Drake, calls Kendrick Lamar "overrated"

This was not the first time Oschino commented on Kendrick Lamar. In May 2024, he addressed the Lamar versus Drake rap beef during an appearance on a podcast for the African Cultural Art Forum in Philadelphia. He called K.Dot "overrated," adding that "all of his songs (were) not hot." He praised Drake, saying:

"First of all, Drake got a whole country behind him. Drake got the most hits. Girls like Drake. Drake comes across as a nice guy."

In October, during an interview with DJ Vlad, he asserted that Drizzy won the feud, stating that his "lyrics were better."

Kendrick's song wacced out murals deals with the subject of cultural appropriation and criticizes those within the Black community enabling such appropriation. In one of the bars, Kenny rapped:

"Don't let no white comedian talk about no black woman."

Andrew Schulz interpreted the line as a reference to his past joke about Black women and criticized Kendrick on Flagrant, saying the Compton rapper was using his name for "clout." He sarcastically quipped that "no one has respected women more through art than rappers."

Schulz praised GNX, saying it was "good," but added that if he ever met Lamar alone, he would "make love to him," and it would be up to Lamar whether it was "consensual or not."

While the Compton rapper didn't react to the comedian's remarks, Meek Mill came to Lamar's defense. He slammed Schulz and added that those in the "Black community" don't make jokes about s*xually assaulting someone.

In response, the comedian shared a screenshot of a past post by Mill where he praised Schulz's joke about him being gay. At the time, he joked that he didn't think Mill was "gay" but rather that he was "incredibly bad" in "proving he (was) straight."

In response, the rapper took to his X to say it was the first time he "laughed at being gay," but added if he heard it in real life he would "swing."

Kendrick has not publicly reacted to Oschino's comments.
