"This amazing woman makes me so happy": Kid Cudi announces engagement to designer Lola Abecassis Sartore

American rapper Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, popularly known as Kid Cudi subtly dropped his engagement announcement on April 18 through an Instagram post. The 40-year-old shared a photo with designer Lola Abecassis Sartore.

The photos were taken at London’s ODEON Luxe West End, where the two walked the red carpet for Cudi's upcoming miniseries Knuckles premiere on April 16.

Both the rapper and the designer were styled by Yves Saint Laurent. Lola's makeup was done by award-winning makeup artist Mata Mariélle. Cudi addressed Lola as “My fiancé” in the caption of his Instagram post, and wrote:

“This amazing woman makes me so happy, she is everything to me and im so excited to share this news w u all”

He continued:

“Life is wild, and right when I felt my future was uncertain, it became crystal clear with Lola. Happy Cud in full effect”

In the picture, the designer can be seen smiling with her face tilted sideways while the rapper fondly looks at her with an equally adorned smile.

Knuckles is a Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff. The show stars the rapper alongside Idris Elba, Adam Pally, Rory McCann, Tika Sumpter and Ellie Taylor among others.

Kid Cudi's fiancé Lola Abecassis Sartore reshares engagement announcement post

Lola Abecassis Sartore shared the full image from Kid Cudi's engagement announcement post. She penned a sweet caption for her betrothed as well:

"I never thought I could love someone this much! So proud to call you my fiancé Scott."

Cheering for Cudi's upcoming show, Lola added:

"I can’t wait for you all to see this amazing man in the new Knuckles show!"

Fans and friends of the couple flooded the comment sections with congratulatory messages. Some even wrote that Kid Cudi might release new music dedicated to his fiancée.

It's not yet revealed when Cudi and Lola began dating as their engagement news was the first and only time they were seen together on social media. As per her Instagram, Lola previously worked alongside the late designer Virgil Aboloh, who was a friend of the rapper.

As per Lola’s LinkedIn profile, she attended the Atelier Chardon Savard in France from 2014 to 2017, where she pursued fashion design, trend and marketing. She joined Louis Vuitton as an assistant product manager in July 2017 and worked in that designation till February 2018. She has since been working as a full-time designer with the brand.

Amid the engagement announcement, fans also await the rapper’s comeback performance at the Coachella Valley Music Festival’s second weekend. Yesterday, the music festival posted an Instagram post for their Weekend Two lineup. Cudi is scheduled to perform on Sunday, April 21.

The line-up was updated to reflect Kid Cudi replacing the rock band Vampire Weekend. Coachella captioned the post "On the pursuit of happiness".

The rapper is also preparing to embark on his Insano World Tour starting this June.
