NLE Choppa has also grabbed a lot of attention among his fans after he recently performed at the Black Pride Weekend in Atlanta on September 1, 2024. The rapper announced the same through Instagram around two days before the performance with a video where he said:
"Because I know who I am so deeply and I'm so appreciative of who I am, I will be doing my justice by coming to Atlanta for Black Pride and showing love to the LGBTQ community for being one of the best audiences that's been streaming 'Slut Me Out 2.'"
Meanwhile, Choppa's fans took to the comments section of The Shade Room Teens' Instagram post to share their reactions. Netizens expressed their shock over the post, with most of them questioning what he was exactly trying to say. A user also wrote:

NLE Choppa reveals the reason for performing at the Black Pride Event
Also known as Bryson LaShun Potts, he was praised by fans when he announced that he would perform at the Black Pride Event. The Shade Room obtained a video a few days ago where Choppa was spotted speaking to the crowd at the event, addressing why he decided to perform. He said:
"A lot of muthaf*ckas will ask me, 'Man, you a rapper, what you doing at a club like this?' Well, I say 'F*ck them n*ggas.' You wanna know why? I ain't gon' lie, man, every day we wake up and we fight acceptance every day. Whether it's our skin color, whether if it's our weight, whether it's what our s*xuality is."
NLE Choppa told the crowd that he never discriminates irrespective of how someone works, including drinking water or eating food. He said that his performance was not a "gimmick" and continued:
"I'm not here for no extra numbers. I'm not here for no extra views 'cause I already got it if we're keeping it 100. I'm really here to make a difference and show y'all it's love, bruh. We Black, no matter what."
NLE Choppa confirmed his appearance at the Black Pride Event in June this year when he posted a tweet, thanking the LGBTQ community for their response to the song, S*ut Me Out 2. The song was a follow-up to S*ut Me Out, which was released in 2022.
