"There’s nothing in this life I want more than this guy right here to leave me alone. He has done NOTHING for my career and has been trying to take from me for the past 5 years.”

She also stated that she had been signed with Billy since she was 21, and that "their lawyer didn’t read me the correct terms." Coi Leray said:

“I’m so depressed with these people on my back and I will never drop another record in my life until I fight every bone in my body for this man right here to just leave me alone. Billybroughtbackthej stay tuned I will be telling everything.”

Bill J’s 1801 Records, now defunct, signed many artists back in the day, including 88-Keys, Journee, Lonnie Moore, and more. However, after sharing her explosive post, Coi Leray did not stop there, as she shared a couple of screenshots by other artists.

Coi Leray also shared stories of other artists who also made similar claims about Billy J and his now-defunct 1801 Records

Coi Leray promised the masses that she would share more on Instagram Live, but she narrated a few stories of other artists who allegedly have had similar experiences with the label.

Another artist, Journee, wrote to the Players singer about how she “signed a deal with them back in 2019” and called it the “worst decision.” Journee stated:

“Billy is so evil girl. I know your pain! I even used to go artist development with EJay! He helped me get a new management and a lawyer. I recently got out of my deal with them after years of trying to.”

Other artists also noticed Coi Leray’s post about sharing more details about Billy J, and many wrote to her, alleging that “Billy finessed every artist he signed.” Another artist, whose name Coi did not mention, stated:

“It’s crazy cuz Billy J kept trying to get me to sign to him last year. When we sat down to sign paperwork, he tried rushing me through it tryna make me put all my faith and trust in the provided lawyer but I knew better than to not read every single word on a contract."

While Coi is yet to share more details about why she called out Billy J, the incident has started a debate on social media, where more artists are coming forward to speak against Billy J. However, the record owner has maintained his silence on the matter.
