J. Cole's event Dreamville will end in the upcoming year with two shows happening on April 5 and 6. The news was confirmed through the event's Instagram page on Wednesday, December 11. The social media post revealed that the tickets for the last show would go on sale on Thursday, December 12, at 9 am EST.
Furthermore, the post even mentioned that anyone willing to attend the event can send a message, writing "DREAMVILLE", to 68624 to get presale access. The caption expressed gratitude to everyone who has made the celebration successful and continued:
"From the very beginning, the idea behind the fest was creating a place where our fans, the Dreamville community, could spend time together, a place where they could see themselves reflected, a place to share in experiences."
Meanwhile, the latest news of the Dreamville Festival happening for the last time in 2025 has now grabbed attention on social media. Netizens have begun sharing their reactions in the comments section of a post shared by NFR Podcast on X. One of them also wrote:
"This means J. Cole definitely retiring soon."
A similar claim was made by other users alongside a person describing the announcement as a big loss for the hip-hop industry.

J. Cole's manager also confirmed the end of the event through social media
While Dreamville announced the final shows through Instagram, J. Cole's manager and his record label's co-founder Ibrahim Hamad, shared another statement through X. He thanked North Carolina alongside those who came from different places around the world to enjoy Dreamville.
"This Festival is something a lot of people have been working very hard to bring you and it's honestly been a dream come true seeing the impact."
According to NME, Dreamville was initially supposed to start in 2018, as planned by J. Cole. The event was postponed to the following year because of Hurricane Florence.
Profits earned by the event were sent to Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy and J. Cole's nonprofit organization, Dreamville Foundation, as per The News & Observer.
Apart from announcing the dates for the final shows, Dreamville posted a video through Instagram in celebration of the event's success in the last few years. The caption stated:
"We took a leap of faith—breaking ground, making announcements, and even navigating reschedules due to the elements and a world that seemed to be falling apart. Through every challenge and milestone, our community stood by us. Watching people from all over the world and all walks of life gather here each year has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of our journey."
J. Cole has an album titled Fall Off in the upcoming lineup. However, the release date of the project is yet to be confirmed.
