Christian Combs, Diddy's son, recently wished his father on Father's Day in the middle of the night on his official Instagram account, kingcombs. However, once the post went public, social media users made fun of Christian in his comment section.
On Monday, June 17, Christian Combs paid his respects to Diddy for Father’s Day and shared a bunch of pictures of himself with the rapper from his childhood days. In the caption, he wrote-
“HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO THE GREATEST!! Love you pops !”
However, sources like All Hip Hop claimed that he got brutally trolled given his father’s current ongoing controversy. Nevertheless, when he uploaded the picture, many netizens took to the comment section of the photo to defend him.
King Combs paid his respect to father Diddy for Father’s Day
Christian, aka King Combs, showed his admiration for his father on Instagram early on Monday, June 17, calling him "the greatest."
He also wished I'll Be Missing You rapper the same as he shared a group of old pictures of him and his father together when he was a baby, with a caption. The main picture features King Combs in a Sean John diaper.
However, in the comments section of the same post, Christian was criticized by several Instagram users for offering his father affection, especially amidst the numerous accusations made against Diddy and the current predicament that the singer is in.
HipHopDx also noted that some individuals accused that Combs posted the tribute at odd hours in an attempt to minimize the call-out. He uploaded the Instagram post on June 17, Monday, instead of June 16, Sunday, which was the actual day of Father's Day.
Nevertheless, a lot of Instagram users defended King Combs, saying their father-son connection had nothing to do with the accusations his father is facing or things he might have done.
On the other hand, Vibe reported that the King Combs' Father's Day tribute to Diddy is the latest support in a string of public displays of support for the Bad Boy founder, who is charged with s*xually and physically assaulting many women, including the Last Night singer's ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
The same source stated that last month, King Combs released Pick A Side, a diss track in which the rapper attacked 50 Cent and other critics in the wake of Diddy's accusations.
The younger Combs rapped on the song-
“Police raid the crib like they think we selling crack/ But we out here selling tracks, multi-million dollar plaques.”
He also mentioned the Homeland Security raids on Diddy's houses in Miami and Los Angeles. The same source reported that he seemingly refuted the charges brought against his father.
The music entrepreneur and the rapper has been charged with r*pe, s*xual abuse, and s*x trafficking and is currently being sued in several civil cases for the same. As a result, on March 25, US Homeland Security authorities raided two of the rapper's homes in Miami and LA.
Moreover, on May 17, CNN published a video of Diddy from March 5, 2016, which showed him hitting Cassie Ventura, his ex-girlfriend, in a Los Angeles hotel lobby.
Cassie also accused the rapper and filled a lawsuit on November 16, 2023, under the New York Adult Survivors Act. She said in the lawsuit that over a ten-year period, Combs repeatedly trafficked, r*ped, and physically assaulted her.
Nevertheless, the Independent reported that Diddy has vehemently refuted each and every accusation made against him. On the other hand, News Nation Now stated that although Combs has been keeping a low profile, it looks like he is living near Miami as of May.
