Dua Lipa's Radical Optimism was notably absent from the 2024 Grammy nominations, leaving fans and critics alike surprised. Lipa addressed the same in a December 16 published interview from Billboard and expressed pride in her work, acknowledging the competitiveness of this year's awards.

"Although it would have been nice to be recognized by your industry, especially as a woman, I'm so proud seeing so many incredible female artists nominated at the Grammys this year," Lipa said.

Fans quickly took to social media to voice their reactions, ranging from disappointment to steadfast support.

"This year the competition was crazy," a user tweeted.
"The album was really good if anyone cared enough," a fan tweeted.
"She totally deserves this!! Love her," another fan tweeted.

The sentiment was echoed across platforms, where many highlighted the album's achievements, including its chart-topping success and innovative sound.

"Wow~ Dua Lipa! It's a true artist. You're praising other nominated artists rather than your own stories that were ignored at the Grammys," a user tweeted.
"She's , Dua lipa handled it gracefully, focusing on celebrating other women rather than dwelling on the snub," a fan commented.
"Dua Lipa out here proving she’s the bigger person—no Grammy? No problem. She’s just proud to see women shining, even if it’s not her moment. True queen energy," another fan tweeted.

Dua Lipa's monumental 2024: Record-breaking success

Released in May 2024, Radical Optimism debuted at No. 1 in the UK and achieved record-breaking sales as the biggest opening week for a British and Albanian female artist since Adele's 30.

The album also performed exceptionally in Europe and reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S., marking Dua Lipa's highest debut in the region. Songs like Houdini dominated charts, further cementing her status as a global pop icon.

Dua Lipa made history with her headlining performance at Glastonbury as the first British woman to do so since 2016. Her TV special An Evening With Dua Lipa and the live album from her Royal Albert Hall show highlighted her versatility and stage presence, earning praise from fans for her ability to reinvent her music.

Dua Lipa's career took off with her 2017 debut album, featuring hits like New Rules. In 2020, she released Future Nostalgia, a commercial and critical success with chart-topping singles like Don't Start Now and Physical, earning her multiple Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist.

Aside from her music, Lipa's influence extends to fashion, television, and acting. She made history as the first British woman to headline Glastonbury since 2016, and her TV special, An Evening With Dua Lipa, showcased her expanding artistry.

In March 2025, she is set to kick off the next leg of her Radical Optimism tour, with sold-out shows at iconic venues like London's Wembley Stadium and New York's Madison Square Garden.
