Netizens on X have reacted to Damon Wayans Jr.'s family dancing to Kendrick Lamar's recently released song Squabble Up. The song is a part of K Dot's sixth studio album GNX, released by Interscope Records and pgLang.

The track gained additional traction after being featured in the promotional material for Mercedes AMG's Formula One campaign, which eventually went viral on TikTok. The Squabble Up music video was released on November 25 and features a ton of easter eggs, including references to multiple hip-hop legends and Kendrick Lamar's hometown.

Days after the release of the song, Damon Wayans Jr.'s family took to TikTok to dance to the beats of Squabble Up. The 43-second clip has gone viral on social media platforms with fans lauding the performance of the entire family.

Some popular comments on X are as follows:

"Throw the Wayans up there with the Rockefellers. Top tier family," wrote a fan on X.
"I swear the Wayans multiple enough for everyone. Every year it’s 3 new ones," another quipped.
"I swear it's only the Wayans and the Washington family that did it right," another fan wrote on X.

One user claimed that the Wayans family was more influential than the Rockefellers.

"And when I say The Wayans family more influential then the Rockefellers then what....lol," they wrote on X.
"I wish I had a family to create this trend with but they all disowned me after finding out about my OF," another added.
"I wonder how many hours this edit took them," one user opined on X.

One user compared the popularity of Squabble Up with Drake's releases, writing:

"Drake doesn’t have one song that makes ppl of all colors n creeds join along like this lol."
"It’s like every member if that family chose to have another brood of their own," one opined.
"Damon Jr’s walk is a little too clean. Bro had a street life or something," another inferred on X.

Kendrick Lamar's chart-topping diss track Not Like Us featured a 20-second snippet of a then-unreleased track in the beginning. The monochrome snippet had Kendrick Lamar in a narrow passageway with flickering lights adding to the eerie undertone. The Compton rapper fashioned a white tracksuit paired with a black-and-white bandana. The lines included in the snippet were:

"God knows, I am reincarnated/ I was stargazin'/ Life goes on, I need all my babies (Gyah, gyah)/ Woke up lookin' for the broccoli/ High-key, keep a horn on me, that Kamasi/ IP, ownership, the blueprint is by me/ Mr. Get Off, I get off at my feet"

The Not Like Us went on to amass over 180 million views with five million likes on YouTube.

Four months later, fans realized that the snippet belonged to K Dot's newly released Squabble Up. The song samples Debbie Deb's When I Hear Music and the rapper pays homage to late hip-hop icons like Mac Dre and Nate Dog, the movie Menace II Society as well as the TV show Soul Train.
