"Tonight is ur night!" — Fans react to Ice Spice gracing the cover of Rolling Stone magazine

Ice Spice had an interview with Rolling Stone, which was published on July 25, 2024. In the interview, she shared much about her life and her upcoming debut album, Y2K!. She also shed light on her relationship with Nicki Minaj and Latto.

Y2K! is set to release on Friday, July 26, 2024. It contained several guest appearances of stars like Travis Scott, Central Cee, and Gunna. Some of the tracks of the album which had already been released are Think You The Sh*t (F*rt), Gimmie A Light, Did It First, and Phat Butt.

With the 24-year-old rapper gracing the Rolling Stone magazine cover, fans had taken to social media to send wishes to her. A fan wrote:

Several other fans complimented her outfit and her story. Many pointed out her upcoming album, which is scheduled to be released tomorrow.

"THAT SECOND FIT IS HARDDDD," a user wrote on X.
"ALBUM TONIGHT!!!! WE READY," wrote another one.
"Ugh you look so good!! can't wait for y2k!" read a tweet.

Ice Spice's Rolling Stone cover edition garnered massive attention from fans

Rapper Ice Spice, who is all set to release her debut album, Y2K!, was seen on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, and fans couldn't hold their calm. The rapper touched on several topics in the interview with the news outlet. Talking about Y2K!, Spice revealed that even Canadian rapper Drake was excited about it.

She explained how she considered him an inspiration and would love to work together someday. Upon being asked about her take on the Drake-Kendrick Lamar beef, she didn't choose a specific side and rather said,

"I'm a music lover. So, I appreciate the sport of it — I think it's really cool."

Apart from her debut album, she is also expected to appear in an upcoming movie, titled High And Low. She spoke about her experience working with Denzel Washington on the set. In the Rolling Stone interview, Ice Spice said,

"I was so nervous because he's a legend. But he made me feel super comfortable, and it was a smooth shooting day."

The young rapper further explained her bond with popstar Taylor Swift. Rolling Stone reported that the duo became friends after they worked together on a remix of Taylor's Karma. She explained her first reaction upon knowing that the Bad Blood singer wanted her for her album.

Ice Spice further debunked people's speculations, which claimed that Taylor Swift chose her to gather more clout. In the cover interview, she said,

"Taylor f**ks with me. She's so funny. I think our personalities mesh really well."

Spice continued the interview by focusing on the time when the cover art for her upcoming debut album was scrutinized. Many believed the piece of art didn't go right with the aesthetics of the album. Spice stated she never had a "strict phase of praise" and had to face a lot of hate. The rapper continued:

"And I kind of appreciate that because I find that when people are only love, they're not as real..."

The 24-year-old rapper touched on several other topics throughout the interview, widely loved and appreciated by her fans.

On July 25, 2024, in an interview on Capital XTRA Breakfast, Spice shed light on her feelings before the release of her first studio album. She added that she was a little nervous, but that was good since it meant she cared about the project.

"I'm so eager to put out the album, I'm really excited. And my fans are really excited, so yeah… it's like finally here. I've been working on it for like a year."

She was asked about her plans for the year, which she hesitated to reveal. Ice Spice, however, mentioned that she wanted to do something "crazy." The rapper also explained why she didn't want to share the details and said her fans would get to know if she was getting a new project.

Ice Spice is also in the middle of the Y2K! World Tour, which was meant to support the upcoming album. The tour began on July 4 and would continue till August 31, 2024.

The upcoming album was announced in January 2024. The album cover and official release date were revealed on June 5, 2024. Fans are now eagerly waiting to hear the Princess Diana singer's first album.
