Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez's ongoing legal battle took a new turn after Lanez's lawyers dubbed the Houston rapper's restraining order "ridiculous."

On December 17, Megan Thee Stallion filed a petition under her real name Megan Pete, accusing Lanez of allegedly paying YouTuber Milagro Gramz to harass her online.

The Hiss rapper requested that the court grant her a restraining order against Lanez for allegedly trying to “terrorize her” with a “campaign of harassment.” Lanez is currently in prison for shooting Megan in 2020.

Ceasar McDowell, Tory Lanez's attorney, denied these accusations and dubbed Megan's petition "baseless" and "ridiculous."

In a statement on December 18, the lawyer questioned Megan Thee Stallion's reliability after the rapper admitted she lied about not sleeping with Lanez during her interview with Gayle King.

“On a broader note, I believe it is important to consider the pattern of behavior we are seeing. When someone has openly admitted to lying on major public platforms-such as Gayle King's show and others to the people, At what point do we, as a society, stop believing the narrative they are pushing? And ask ourselves is "enough is enough",” McDowell said.

Tory Lanez's attorney denied "undermining" Megan Thee Stallion with new court filings

The new statement from Tory Lanez's attorneys addressed several claims made by Megan Thee Stallion. This included the allegations that Lanez filed for appeal around the same time Megan's documentary came out to "undermine" her.

Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words premiered on Amazon Prime on October 31, whereas Lanez filed for an appeal that same week.

Ceasar McDowell dubbed the allegation "ludicrous," adding:

“Appellate courts impose strict timelines for when filings and responses must occur. Are the accusers now suggesting that the courts are trying to disrupt Ms. Pete’s documentary? Our client, Mr. Peterson, was simply complying with those legal deadlines, as required by the courts.”

The other claim he addressed was the alleged $3000 payment Tory Lanez's father, Sonstar Peterson, made to Milagro Gramz. McDowell claimed the payment did not correlate with Lanez or the case, adding the "truth will be revealed" in court.

This statement came after Megan Thee Stallion filed a lawsuit against Milagro Gramz for allegedly acting as Lanez's "mouthpiece and puppet" by harassing her and purporting lies about her on social media.

The suit, filed in October 2024, accused Gramz of cyberstalking and sharing an explicit AI-generated deepfake image of her online.

Furthermore, the rapper's legal team filed an amended complaint on December 10, claiming to have obtained a phone call recording between Lanez and his father discussing Gramz's payment.

“Mr. Peterson’s father—when he thought no one was listening—asked his son about payments to Ms. Cooper for her harassment of Ms. Pete. Instead of denying that Ms. Cooper has been paid, they question how Ms. Pete uncovered their conspiracy," the petition read.

Megan Thee Stallion accuses Lanez of trying to "retraumatize and revictimize" her

In the petition requesting a restraining order on December 17, Megan Thee Stallion's lawyers claimed Lanez was trying to “harass, bully, and antagonize” their client with his contacts outside prison.

They allege Lanez's actions "reignited" a renewed wave of hate against Megan.

“Mr. Peterson’s attempts to retraumatize and revictimize Ms. Pete recognize no limits — indeed, they continue even while he is behind bars. While Mr. Peterson distorts and recklessly disregards the truth in his desperate attempt to appeal his conviction, his false assertions have reignited a slew of negative, harmful, and defamatory comments directed to Ms. Pete,” her lawyers said.

Megan also accused Lanez of causing her "repeated trauma" with “psychological warfare," adding she wished sometimes that Lanez had killed her so she could escape his "torture."

Her lawyers also asked the judge to order Lanez “not to contact Ms. Pete, directly or indirectly, or harass or intimidate her, directly or indirectly, online.”

Tory Lanez was convicted of shooting Megan in the foot following an argument in 2020. The two had left a party at Kylie Jenner's Hollywood home when the incident occurred.

He was found guilty during his trial in 2022 and was sentenced in August 2023.
