Travis Scott arrest video in Paris shows 3 police officers escorting rapper out of a hotel before reportedly taking him to hospital

Rapper Travis Scott was recently taken into custody in Paris on August 9, after he allegedly fought with a security guard. The same was confirmed by French authorities, as reported by BBC. It had further been reported that the security guard with whom the rapper fought worked for the Georges V hotel.

Recently, a video obtained by TMZ showed Scott getting detained by three cops. It had been reported that the security guard intervened while Travis Scott was fighting with his own bodyguard. Shortly after the arrest, the rapper was reportedly taken to the hospital.

However, no clear reason behind the decision has been given, as of now. The outlet added that they were told that certain tests had to be run on the rapper, which needed the expertise of medical professionals. It had further been reported that the rapper was allegedly in an "intoxicated state."

Why was Travis Scott arrested in Paris?

On Friday, August 9, Travis Scott allegedly got into a fight with his own bodyguard. Page Six reported that the rapper was unhappy with his bodyguard since he was chased by Paparazzi several times in Paris. Meanwhile, a security guard from the hotel attempted to dissolve the situation between the two men.

The situation, however, seemingly became worse which prompted calling the cops. It is unclear as to why he was taken away in an ambulance. It had been reported that they were told that during the brawl, several vases broke and the rapper was taken to the hospital to get checked for any injuries.

A representative for the 33-year-old rapper reportedly told PEOPLE,

"We are in direct communication with the local Parisian authorities to swiftly resolve this matter and will provide updates when appropriate."

The rapper had further been in custody for quite a long time now. It is, however, not clear if any charges have been officially filed against him. According to the latest released video, it could be seen that Scott couldn't fight back a lot when he was getting arrested. This was mostly because the Paris Police had sent the cavalry to get the rapper.

Three cops were present to drag Travis Scott out of the place and put him in a police vehicle. He could further be seen getting handcuffed in the hotel lobby. Meanwhile, cops were trying their best to keep paparazzi away from the scene as much as possible. He was later transferred to an ambulance after going to the jail. Paris Prosecutor's Office gave a statement to PEOPLE, and said,

"I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, shortly after 5 a.m., the police were called to the Georges V Hotel and arrested the man nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard."

News outlets had reported that they had further tried to reach out to Scott's representatives, however, no response had been received as of now.
