Gazzy Fabio Garcia a.k.a. Lil Pump continues his tirade against pop singer Taylor Swift, this time wearing a white T-shirt saying, "F*ck Talor Swift." On Saturday, September 28, 2024, the rapper took to his Instagram to share a photo of him with a fan in the said tees, with the caption:
"JUST A QUICK REMINDER FOR THE SWIFTIES."
Lil Pump's recent posts targeting the Blank Space singer came after she endorsed the Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris. The rapper has been a vocal supporter of Harris's opponent, Donald Trump for years.
As Garcia's picture in the red and white t-shirt went viral, internet users were quick to express their displeasure. One pointed out the misspelling, writing:
"Tryna be funny & can't even spell."
Many stated that the rapper is being paid to endorse Trump. While one even remarked that Trump supporters are like a cult. Here are some comments seen under @theshaderoom's post on Instagram:
Others continued to point out the irony of wearing a statement t-shirt with the wrong spelling.
"You have no clue why ur even voting for Kamala"- Lil Pump calls our Taylor Swift on X for endorsing Kamala Harris
Lil Pump hails from Miami, Florida. He rose to fame with his 2017 single Gucci Gang, which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite negative reviews from critics, the track received quintuple platinum by the RIAA.
The rapper's recent photograph mocking Swift seemed to be taken in Hong Kong, where he is currently on tour. Per a report by TMZ, the rapper deliberately misspelled Swift's name in an attempt to "troll" the singer.
This is not the only time Lil Pump has slammed the Folklore artist. Just days after Swift endorsed the Democratic presidential nominee, the Florida rapper shared multiple posts calling out Swift, writing:
"You have no clue why ur even voting for Kamala. Maybe cuz ur a billionaire and voting her has 0 impact on ur life."
He added that Taylor Swift has not done her research, stating she endorsed her immediately after the debate where Harris allegedly "lied many many times."
In a separate post, Lil Pump called Swift out for "pushing people" to vote for Harris. Sharing a screenshot of a doctored tweet of Swift criticizing him, he wrote:
"Inflation through the roof and ppl are struggling to pay bills. They def won't be able to afford tix to ur shows! She (Harris) shahid she will make changes right away, WHY DIDNT SHE THE PAST 3.5 years?"
Earlier this month, Taylor Swift took to her Instagram just a day after the long-awaited presidential debate to announce her support for Kamala Harris. According to the pop singer, Harris champions the right causes and is a "steady-handed, gifted leader" who would lead with "calm, not chaos."
Swift also praised her choice of running mate, Tim Walz, who has a longstanding history of speaking for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and women's right to their bodies. In her post, the songstress explained that she was forced to clarify her stance after an AI-generated image of her endorsing Trump began circulating online in August.
A day later, Trump in his interview with Fox News called Taylor Swift a "liberal," before stating:
"I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time… she’s a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace"
Taylor Swift has not publicly reacted to Lil Pump's post.
