Sabrina Carpenter and Travis Scott's fans have been battling on social media ever since their favorite artists' albums managed to break sales records. The clash has intensified as any one of the projects is expected to take the top spot on the US Billboard 200.

Notably, Carpenter's album Short n' Sweet has sold around 317,000 units, which is the highest, followed by Scott's Days Before Rodeo with a figure of 217,000. The details were revealed by Hits Daily Double, stating that things might change with better sales and Scott could take the first position.

Another thing that could work in favor of Scott is that he has re-released the above-mentioned mixtape, which originally came out in 2014, with some bonus singles alongside a music video. Meanwhile, the entire chart will be revealed on September 1, 2024.

On the other hand, Sabrina Carpenter seemingly replied to the re-release of Travis Scott's mixtape by posting a tweet on August 30, 2024, that reads:

"This one's for Nicki."

The comments section of a post shared by Kurrco on X (formerly Twitter) was flooded with multiple responses from netizens. One of them also wrote:

"lmfaoo she sorry asf tryna get nicki fans on her side to beat a 10 year old album rereleasing."

The majority of the users made fun of Sabrina Carpenter, addressing the fact that she was trying to compete with a mixtape that came out around ten years ago,

"She's competing with a mixtape 10 years old", a user wrote.
"Her comp is a 10 year old mixtape", another user wrote.
"No way she flexes outselling a 10 year old mixtape… for nicki", a third user wrote.

Some people claimed that Travis Scott deserved the top spot on the Billboard chart.

"Sabrina is so washed… she don't deserve number 1", a reaction reads.
"Travis easily beating her here but hey fun competition", another reaction reads.

A section of the public even shared their opinion on Sabrina Carpenter's album with a few others giving a neutral reaction to her tweet.

"Her album is mid so we don't care", a reaction stated.
"Travis fall off is wild", another reaction stated.
"Things were better before trying to unnaturally get to #1 on the chart for "storylines"", a user mentioned.

Sabrina Carpenter's album was released six days after the arrival of Travis Scott's project

There was a gap of six days between the release of Carpenter and Scott's respective albums. As mentioned, the former has made more sales compared to Scott and there have been certain reasons for the same.

Although Sabrina Carpenter's album Short n' Sweet is completely new, she is also trending after the arrival of the music video for the song Taste, which features Jenna Ortega. The video came out on August 23, 2024, which coincidentally marks the same day when Scott's album Days Before Rodeo was re-released.

The music video also included Rohan Campbell, while Carpenter and Ortega were spotted fighting over him. The video was additionally filled with violent sequences and a warning for the same was given in the beginning.

The single was even included in the soundtrack of Short n' Sweet, which was teased by Sabrina Carpenter last month. She revealed the list of songs on the album through an Instagram post on July 9, 2024. Notably, two tracks, including Espresso and Please Please Please, have already grabbed a spot on the Billboard Global 200.

Coming to Travis Scott's Days Before Rodeo, the guest appearance of TI was removed from the re-release. The project originally featured artists such as Young Thug, Peewee Longway, and many others.

Another highlight of the re-release was the inclusion of unreleased bonus tracks. The re-release was available on Scott's official website, priced at $4.99.
