On December 16, TV station KTLA first reported that rapper Bhad Bhabie's Lamborghini Urus was involved in a car crash in Tarzana, California, around 4 a.m. on December 14. As per a report by TMZ, the person driving the pricey vehicle was the 21-year-old rapper's brother.
The report further described the accident, stating that a motorist was being chased by cops for 'alleged reckless driving' before the crash occurred. After the accident, good samaritans rescued the male driver and sent him to the hospital before he was subsequently arrested.
However, both KTLA and TMZ later clarified that Bhad Bhabie had no involvement in the accident involving the Lamborghini Urus. An editor's note on KTLA's website explained that the registered owner of the vehicle stated it didn't belong to Bhad Bhabie, despite initial claims suggesting otherwise. The note also included an apology for the error.
"Initial reporting from the scene indicated the vehicle belonged to a local rapper, Bhad Bhabie. The vehicle’s registered owner tells KTLA that was not the case. We regret the error," the editor wrote.
Bhad Bhabie's mother, Barbara Bregoli, also told TMZ that her daughter 'was safe and sound at home at the time of the accident.' She further clarified that Bhad Bhabie doesn't have a brother. Additionally, the 21-year-old's rep told TMZ on Monday that Bhabie doesn't own a Lamborghini.
On Monday, two days after the Lamborghini Urus accident, Bhad Bhabhi was pictured with her boyfriend Le Vaughn and their 9-month-old daughter in Woodland Hills. The social media star wore a gray beanie, a black top, and sweatpants. Her boyfriend was seen wearing a denim jacket, grey sweatpants, and a white t-shirt. He was pushing the stroller carrying their daughter.
Bhad Bhabie recently revealed that she is battling cancer
On November 7, Bhad Bhabie took to Instagram to reveal that she was battling cancer. To silence critics who were spreading the 'worst narratives' about her appearance, the rapper addressed her fans in an Instagram story, saying:
"I'm sorry my cancer medicine made me lose weight. I'm slowly gaining it back. So stop running w the worst narratives."
This response reportedly came after multiple critics voiced concerns over her appearance. Some fans had previously joked about her allegedly thin stature, while others speculated that she was on a weight-loss drug.
Following her announcement, her mother, Barbara Bregoli, criticized blogger Perez Hilton after he implied that Bhad Bhabie was faking her cancer diagnosis. Hilton theorized that Bhabie 'might've pulled a Lil Tay,' reminding people of the time the latter faked her death in 2023.
“I don’t know if she’s lying. I’m not claiming she’s lying ... knowing how these types of people operate, I wouldn’t put it past her to do something like this for attention. And actually I hope that’s the case because it would suck if she had or still has cancer at such a young age,” Hilton stated.
Replying to Perez Hilton on Instagram, Bregoli said:
“I pray to God one of your children never get cancer. I’ve had it twice. How dare you say my daughter’s faking this.”
Furthermore, she recalled her own cancer diagnosis and narrated how she lost weight. Sharing a 2008 photo of herself looking slender in a white skirt and a black top, she said:
“For all those individuals commenting on cancer and cancer meds just bloating you this was me one year after my 1st diagnosis.”
Barbara Bregoli ended her message by imploring people to stop assuming narratives without evidence.
