WATCH: Justin Bieber performs "Baby" and "What Do You Mean" in India at Anant Ambani's pre-wedding bash

Amid the ongoing pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, global sensation Justin Bieber had a performance on Friday. Shortly after the performance, Bieber was seen leaving Mumbai on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Justin performed some of his hit songs in the show, including Baby and What Do You Mean.

Several videos have surfaced on the internet, showing the entire crowd grooving to Justin's tunes. The videos garnered mixed responses, where some were in awe of the performance, and others felt that it didn't suit the Indian taste of the occasion. One fan took to Twitter and wrote,

"I wanna get rich enough to have Justin Bieber sing a duet with me like this... like this is insane."

Canadian singer Justin Bieber reached Mumbai to perform at the Sangeet ceremony of Anant and Radhika, on Friday. As soon as the performance was over, he left the city. In several videos that were circulated on the internet about the show, the crowd could be seen enjoying and vibing to the hit Bieber songs.

Fans also expressed their excitement and elation with the show. Before Bieber, Rihanna had made an appearance in one of the occasions of the Ambanis related to the union of Anant and Radhika. The grand Sangeet ceremony was held on July 5, at the Jio World BKC in Mumbai.

India Times reported that the global sensation was paid about $10 million for the performance at the ceremony. Reports further revealed that the amount was quite more than what he usually charges for private events which is somewhere between $2.5-6 million.

According to additional reports by India Times, more mainstream artists including Lana Del Rey, Adele, and Drake will be present in the upcoming pre-wedding festivities of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani.

This wasn't the first time that the Ambanis went all out when it came to bringing artists to perform on various wedding occasions. As per Hindustan Times, previously the Backstreet Boys and Katy Perry performed at the Ambani pre-wedding cruise in Italy and the South of France.

In 2018, when Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal were to get hitched, Beyoncé was called to perform at the Sangeet event in Udaipur, Rajasthan. John Legend performed at their pre-wedding occasions in Como. Then, during Shloka Mehta and Akash Ambani's pre-wedding festivities, Maroon 5 gave a performance.

The wedding festivities of Anant and Radhika are expected to begin with a Grah Shanti ritual, on July 8, 2024 and India Times further reported that the lavish wedding is scheduled for July 12. The wedding reception is supposed to take place two days after that, on July 14.

Several Indian celebrities including Madhuri Dixit, Khushi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhat, MS Dhoni, and Salman Khan, were present at the grand Sangeet night where Justin Bieber performed.
