While the DJ did not explicitly mention Drake, netizens quickly flooded the social media platform with their speculations and comments related to the tweet. One user on X remarked:

"We already know who"

Several other netizens expressed similar sentiments on X.

"If it’s Drake you need to pause that DJ’ing," another netizen wrote.
"Does that 'certain someone' like tuna sandwiches?" questioned a user on X.
"U got The Goat waiting…." tweeted a user.

Meanwhile, some netizens commented on the DJ's approach. One user even believed that this wasn't the right time to talk about it on social media. The user commented:

"We acknowledge the frustration, but expressing it on here like this, given the current circumstances, may not be the most effective approach."
"Why do this in public?" asked another netizen.
"Let's get a nasty trap beat sent over his way," read a tweet.

DJ Gordo and Drake previously collaborated on the former's debut album Diamante

While talking about Gordo's recent tweet and whether it was aimed at Drake, it is worth noting that the duo had previously worked together. The collaboration happened in Diamante, which was officially dropped in July this year.

Drake was a part of two tracks of this album: Healing and Sideways. Several other artists, including Nicki Nicole, Maluma, T-Pain, and Afshin Momadi, were a part of the album, which had 16 songs. While both Drizzy and Gordo released the two songs, they didn't appear in the music videos.

Gordo had previously mentioned that for Healing, he wanted the focus to be on The Don Madfunz, whom he came across while scrolling through the internet. In the video description of the song, he wrote:

"About 2 months ago while I was scrolling through TikTok, I stumbled upon THE DON Madfunz, a guy from South Africa with amazing energy. His taste in music grabbed my attention, but it was his dancing, smile and story that really hooked me."

Gordo reportedly told music director Theo Skudra that the music video should be based on a day in Don's life.

Both Sideways and Healing grabbed massive attention, primarily due to their emotional lyrics. For instance, in Sideways, while opening the song, Drake expressed the pain he felt when a former lover couldn't reciprocate his love.

Even before this album, the DJ had worked extensively with Drizzy. Gordo reportedly was the producer for about five songs on Drizzy's 2022 studio album Honestly, Nevermind. Among these songs were Sticky and Massive.
