Ever since Kendrick Lamar dropped his surprise album last week, his act of name-dropping Lil Wayne in one of its tracks has sparked speculations about a potential Lil Wayne - Kendrick Lamar beef. On Tuesday, Hot Boy Turk addressed the issue by sharing his opinion on the matter, comparing the beef to the Tupac-Biggie situation.

In a video shared by @KollegeKidd on X, the 43-year-old rapper called Weezy "a beast," adding:

"And I just plead that it don't go no further than that. Nobody's egos need to get in the way because it brings people who are ignorant, who can see that this might just be a play. And it'll get violent, and we don't need that as a race."

The New Orleans native continued:

"We don't need another Tupac & Biggie situation, ya feel me?"

Hot Boy Turk's remarks arrive as Drake files legal actions against Spotify and Universal Music Group (UMG) alleging that they conspired to "artificially inflate" interest in Lamar's diss track Not Like Us while suppressing his music, per The Guardian.

Hot Boy Durk called Lil Wayne his "little brother"

Before referring to the potential Lil Wayne - Kendrick Lamar beef with the Tupac Biggie situation, Hot Boy Turk said:

"We don't need to let this get out of hand... you know, I don't even want to see that. I don't wanna see that destruction, bro. I'm just gonna keep it all the way real because I know what my little brother do, I know what he can do."

Then clarifying that he had no hard feelings for the Father Time rapper either, the rapper added:

"I got love for Kendrick... he make some great music, but I know what Weezy gon' do. And I don't even want to see it go there bro... just keep this sh*t peaceful. We don't need some West Coast Down-South beef, man."

Hot Boy Turk went on to add that the Black community was already troubled and recommended that it would be best if the rappers continued to do what they were the best at, rather than beefing with each other.

Kendrick Lamar name-dropped Lil Wayne in his Wacced Out Murals

As Kendrick Lamar dropped GNX last Friday, one of its tracks, Wacced Out Murals, mentioned Lil Wayne in relation to the recent Superbowl Halftime controversy.

The Money Trees rapper raps in the track:

"I used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud/Irony, I think my hardwork let Lil Wayne down/ Got the Super Bowl and Nas the only one congratulate me, all these n***as agitated I’m just glad it’s on their faces."

Kendrick Lamar name-checked Lil Wayne after the latter seemed upset over Lamar headlining the upcoming Superbowl Halftime LIX concert. Scheduled to be held on February 9, 2025, the Superbowl show will be hosted at the Caesar's Superdome, New Orleans, next year.

The announcement of K-Dot headlining the show was made by the NFL in September, following which many rappers have expressed their disapproval, stating that Weezy was the rightful candidate for the show.

Lil Wayne himself didn't make any remark directed at the LOYALTY rapper so far. However, after the younger rapper name-checked him in Wacced Out Murals, Wayne posted on his X handle, taking an indirect hit at Lamar by saying, "Let's not take kindness for weakness."

Back in September, Wayne had expressed his disappointment for not being chosen to headline the Superbowl show being hosted in his hometown openly, saying he blamed himself for "not being mentally prepared for a letdown," claiming that it hurt a lot. He also added that he considered himself the best for that platform and city.
