Dave Blunts has hit back at fellow rapper Summrs for making fun of his health while he was hospitalized this week. On January 2, 2024, Blunts took to Instagram to confirm the news of his hospitalization after a video of him sleeping on a hospital bed sparked concerns online.

According to Hot News Hip Hop, after Blunts' video surfaced online, rapper Summrs reportedly made fun of the former's weight. On January 3, Dave Blunts took to his Instagram to call out Summrs for making fun of him. Tagging the rapper on his stories, he wrote:

"I just wanna know what's so funny. Let me know sum we laughing at your allegations with young ones? We laughing at how yo mans KanKan walk around with a bundle of sticks?"

Blunts appeared to be making fun of Summrs's friendship with fellow rapper KanKan. His story supposedly alluded to both of them being accused of alleged se*ual assault in the past. The phrase "bundle of sticks" is a reference to the f-word often used by Blunts in his music.

Apart from taking shots at Summrs via his stories, Dave Blunts also assured his fans that he's going to take better care of his health in 2025. The rapper has previously gone viral for performing while being in support of an oxygen tank in 2024.

Dave Blunts discloses he was hospitalized due to catching the flu during his show at Roxy

On January 3, 2024, Dave Blunts took to Instagram to confirm the news of his hospitalization after a video of him sleeping on a hospital bed did the rounds online. Speaking about the video, the rapper said that it was taken without his permission and wrote:

"Yesterday instead of taking care of his kids or checking to see if he got any jobs that responded to his indeed applications a 40-year-old man decided to come into my room while I was asleep and record me in my hospital bed I then wake up to several blogs and pages posting that I’m in the hospital."

Blunts explained that he did not want to inform his fans about being hospitalized as he did not want them to assume he "wasn’t taking my health journey seriously." Speaking about the reason behind his visit to the hospital, Blunts explained that he caught the flu from one of his fans during one of his shows at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles last week.

"It is not my fault I’m in here one of my fans at my show at the Roxy actually gave me the flu I was told by doctors to just let the cold run it’s course but I kept getting worse and worse so I had to go to the hospital."

Further, Dave Blunts promised that he would be "100% focused" on bettering his health in 2025. He also wrote about losing motivation due to such "setbacks" and expressed his dissatisfaction about someone recording him without his permission during a vulnerable moment.

"I’m not giving up as long as you guys don’t give up on me but this shit is hard especially when 40 year old deadbeat fathers decide to record me at my lowest moment in the hospital," Blunts said.

However, Blunts said he would not give up as it would then prove "Solar" correct. It is unclear who he was referring to as he also mentioned someone called Isabella, who is rumored to be his ex-girlfriend. The rapper's statements hinted that he was "not enough" for Solar and Isabella and wanted to be "enough" for his fans.

Dave Blunts has often sparked concerns about his health issues among fans. In 2024, he went viral after a video of him performing at the Juice Wrld Day while being on oxygen support surfaced on the internet. The rapper revealed in a September 2024 interview that he weighs 270 kg. He has previously suffered a heart failure in 2023.
