A Jack Harlow fan account has bid adieu to its followers via a humorous message on Instagram. On October 13, 2024, the page @jackharlowdaily took to the social media platform to inform their followers about their decision to stop supporting the rapper.
The post, structured in a format similar to most social media apologies, started by addressing their 1.5-year-long absence. While the admins added they loved the community they built over the years, they claimed they could no longer run the fan account "in good faith."
Citing their poor mental health as the reason for starting the fan account, the admins claimed their mental health improved over the years. They added this led them to reach the consensus that they "no longer want to have s*x with this man."
"We can no longer in good faith run this page, When we started this account, we were at an all time low (ATL) in our mental health, leading us to think Jack Harlow was very attractive. As our mental health improved, we have come to realize we no longer want to have s*x with this man," the post read.
The post concluded with the admins hoping their message would bring closure to their followers, apologizing for their actions, and asking for privacy.
The Jack Harlow fan account, started on October 25, 2021, amassed 990 followers and uploaded 37 posts in total.
Jack Harlow announced two hometown shows for Thanksgiving
Jack Harlow will join the Louisville Orchestra for two 'No Place Like Home 2024' performances on November 28 and 29. On October 10, the Louisville rapper took to social media to announce the shows in his hometown, scheduled at The Kentucky Center.
According to UpRoxx, Teddy Adams, the orchestra's music director, released a statement praising the rapper as a "Louisville legend."
“Jack Harlow is an icon and has already established himself as a Louisville legend. We’ve worked together to build a unique, incredibly special set that shows Jack’s full range of artistry. His attention to orchestrational detail and compositional form is remarkable. I’m honored to build this program with Jack for our community, and I can’t wait for Louisville to hear what we’ve been creating together!”
Prior to that, the Grammy-nominated rapper will headline an exclusive concert for Citi Card members at Live Nation's Brooklyn Paramount Theatre on October 17. In addition to his musical ventures, the rapper is dipping his toes in acting, appearing on the Apple TV+ movie The Instigators for his second acting role.
Jack Harlow, who debuted as an actor in the 2023 reboot of White Men Can’t Jump, recently revealed that acting was harder than he thought. In an August 2024 interview with Variety during the premiere of The Instigators, the rapper addressed the criticism his acting debut received, adding:
"S**t got killed. I learned I’ve got a lot more work to do. I’ve got to get better if I really want to do it. It’s tough. It’s harder than I thought. It’s either you do it or you don’t. It felt like ‘White Boys’ was the type of opportunity you take, and then you learn from how it goes. It’s interesting, all the best actors, they know how to let go of control. You can’t control so much of it.”
The Instigators, starring long-time friends Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, follows the story of two robbers on the run from the police. Jack Harlow plays Scalvo, the thief who brings together Affleck and Damon's characters for the heist. The movie premiered on Apple TV+ on August 9.
