DJ Akademiks recently claimed during his new stream that Drake has a sneak diss ready for Kendrick Lamar, despite their infamous feud supposedly being over in May.
Akademiks is widely speculated to have some inside connection with Drake's OVO camp and is considered to be one of Drizzy's allies. In his recent stream, he claimed that the Lamar-Drake feud is not really over and that he can't wait to hear the "sneak diss" from the Toronto rapper. He said:
"It's really never over. I can't wait to hear the first sneak diss. Matter of fact. I won't even tell y'all what I heard. The first sneak diss Drake got that's dissing Kendrick, how he positions it, that's gon' be interesting."
Fans on X were amused by DJ Akademiks's latest claims and took to the platform to share their views.
"Sneak dissing? Say it with ya chest," a fan said.
"I just want to hear drake drop any style of music he wants BESIDES SNEAK DISSING KENDRICK.. that battle is over," another user added.
"I cant even imagine what value will it add to the whole thing, it is over bruh.... its been over," another netizen mentioned.
"Sneak dissing? for what?," one tweet read.
Reactions continued to pour in, as some fans wanted Drake to take a break while others wanted him to be direct with his supposed digs towards K Dot.
"Drake should just take like a 6 months break after everything that happened bro he need that break," a netizen claimed.
"Why sneak diss lmao just be direct," an X user suggested.
"Lame as hell either diss direct and keep it going or end it," a fan wrote.
"Drake plottin, I know Kendrick shaking rn," a user commented.
The last diss track Drake dropped aiming at Kendrick Lamar was The Heart Part 6, which was released on May 5, 2024.
The feud is considered to be over since then, although Lamar later sang his diss tracks aimed at Drizzy in his June 19 Pop Out show. He also dropped the Not Like Us music video with alleged digs at the rapper earlier this month.
DJ Akademiks claimed that both Drake and Kendrick Lamar lied in their diss tracks during their recent feud
During a livestream on Rumble in May, DJ Akademiks went on record to claim that both Kenny and Drake lied and made false accusations against each other in their diss tracks aimed at each other. He said:
“Drake doesn’t have a kid, Kendrick lied. Kendrick’s kid isn’t Dave Free’s, Drake lied. So there’s lies all in this.”
For context, Drizzy accused Kendrick's kid of being actually fathered by Dave Free in his diss track, Family Matters. Lamar also claimed that the Toronto rapper has a secret daughter in his track, Meet the Grahams. Drizzy specifically addressed Lamar's allegation in The Heart Part 6, as he rapped:
“We plotted for a week and we fed you the information / A daughter that’s 11 years old, I bet he takes it.”
During his stream, DJ Akademiks also claimed that Drizzy knew about the stolen material used by Kendrick for the artwork in Meet the Grahams. He said:
“Drake did know that they were stolen. So, I don’t know if he’s trying to reverse psychology it and say, ‘Well, now I know it’s stolen and I know what you have. I’m going to play off of it.’”
DJ Akademiks went on to claim that K Dot claiming Drizzy has a secret daughter was a set-up by the rapper himself. It was the "biggest expose," as no one knew where that accusation came from.
DJ Akademiks also claimed that the information was "planted" or fed to Kendrick so he could use the same. Drake also allegedly made similar claims in The Heart Part 6.
In an interview with The Art of Dialogue, Atlanta-based rapper Coolee Bravo also claimed that he got $150,000 from Drake to share false information with Kendrick Lamar during their feud.
