The first batch of performers set to take the stage at the upcoming 2025 Grammys has been announced. The event is scheduled to take place on February 2, 2025.

On January 25, 2025, the Recording Academy announced the first batch of performers for the Grammys with multiple stars on the list. The performers are Shakira, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Benson Boone, Chappell Roan, Doechii, RAYE, Sabrina Carpenter, and Teddy Swims.

Fans took to X to react to the list of performers. While some were happy with the line-up, others hoped to see other artists on the list.

One X user hoped to see Ariana Grande, Beyonce, and Taylor Swift. They wrote:

Gold Derby predicts favorites to win major categories in the 2025 Grammys

With days remaining for the much-anticipated 2025 Grammys, Gold Derby, a leading authority on award show coverage, has predicted the winners of the major categories in the awards.

They have predicted Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft or Beyonce's Cowboy Carter to win the Album of the Year award. Other nominations in the category include Andre 3000's New Blue Sun, Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department, Charli XCX's BRAT, Sabrina Carpenter's Short 'n' Sweet, Chappell Roan's The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess, and Jacob Collier's Djesse Vol. 4.

If Beyonce wins the award for Cowboy Carter as per Gold Derby's predictions, it will be her first Grammy in the category. The singer is the most awarded artist in the history of the Grammys with 32 awards but has never won the AOTY category.

In the case of Billie Eilish, it will be her second Album of the Year at the Grammys if she wins this year. She first won the award in 2020 for her album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

According to The Mirror, both the aforementioned albums have received four votes each from Gold Derby's editors and experts.

Meanwhile, renowned astrologist and celebrity psychic Inbaal Honigman specifically predicted that Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department will not bag any award in the big four categories of the Grammys in a conversation with Casino.org.

He said:

"Taylor Swift isn't shown as a big winner within the big four categories. The calm Four of Swords Tarot card indicates that this specific awards ceremony yields modest results for the talented star."

Taylor Swift is one of the most successful artists in the history of the Grammys with 14 awards from 52 nominations. She is also the first and only artist to have won the Album of the Year award four times - Midnights (2022), Folklore (2020), 1989 (2014), and Fearless (2008).

According to Gold Derby experts, Sabrina Carpenter is the favorite to win in the Record of the Year category for Expresso. Billie Eilish's Birds of a Father is a favorite to win the Song of the Year category at the Grammys.

Meanwhile, Chappell Roan is predicted to win Best New Artist.

The 2025 Grammys will take place on February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Trevor Noah is set to host the event.
