In a recent statement, 50 Cent addressed the ongoing financial situation of Roc A Fella co-founder Dame Dash after reports surfaced about a delay in the auction of Dash's stake in the hip-hop label.

On September 2, 2024, during a clip of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, 50 Cent reflected on an early career encounter with Dame Dash. He recalled that at that time, Dash had remarked that $1 million was "no money," when 50 signed his deal with Eminem’s Shady Records. In light of Dash's current financial situation, 50 Cent suggested that Dash now finds himself in a position where he has "no money."

"The only person that pointed out a million dollars was no money was Damon Dash and he has no money now. How you gonna say that’s no money?" 50 Cent noted.

This statement followed reports that Dash faced allegations of failing to pay child support, which led to a delay in the auction of his stake. Originally scheduled for August 29, 2024, the auction has been rescheduled to September 21, 2024, according to XXL Magazine.

Rapper 50 Cent comments on Dame Dash’s financial woes following auction postponement

50 Cent recently sat down with Gillie Da King and Fif for a podcast, where he candidly discussed his views on Dame Dash's recent challenges.

During the interview, 50 Cent reflected on the pivotal deal he and Eminem secured in 2002, which played a crucial role in launching his career, marked by the release of his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin. According to Hip-Hop Vibe, this $1 million deal, which significantly impacted 50 Cent's rise to fame, was once downplayed by Dash.

Although Dame Dash has not yet responded to 50's comments, Dash addressed his financial struggles during an Instagram Live session on August 21, 2024, explaining how he got "broke." In a lengthy video, Dash revealed that his financial difficulties arose from "investing in his dreams."

"Somebody asked me how I got so broke. Investing in my dreams. You know, when you're investing in your dreams and you dream big, you're always gon' be broke," he said.

Dash further suggested that he has accumulated a lot of achievements, but for now he does not have money to give to others, which some might interpret as being "broke."

"You'll have a lot of sh*t but I don't have no money for nobody else if that's what you call broke. That's what it is. Either way, I'm get with y'all. Stay tuned. I'm curious to see how it all rolls out," he added.

These remarks from 50 Cent about Dame Dash's financial situation surfaced following a civil lawsuit brought against Dash by movie producer Josh Webber in August 2024. Webber won the case, claiming that Dame had failed to uphold their film partnership.

According to Billboard, Webber's attorney indicated that a deal had been made, while Dash's attorney claimed they were not notified of this agreement. Despite this, Dash's attorney, Natraj Bhushan, expressed that they are looking forward to the upcoming court conference.

"We look forward to upcoming court conference so that all interested parties can be heard and the court can decide who gets what, and in what priority from the forthcoming public auction," attorney Natraj Bhushan said.

Following the lawsuit loss, Dash was ordered by the court to auction one-third of his stake in Roc-A-Fella Records, co-founded with Jay-Z, to settle the debt. According to Billboard, Dash was initially required to pay $823,000.

However, the situation escalated when New York City intervened, demanding over $193,000 in unpaid child support. Additionally, the city stipulated that the auction proceeds must also cover Dash's alleged unpaid taxes, totaling $8.7 million.

As New York City authorities intervened in the situation, the New York court has delayed the auction, which now will be on September 21, 2024. As per Billboard, the minimum bid of the one-third stake of Dame Dash will now be $3 million, and New York City will be the first to take the money of at least $193,000 to cover the child support. Followed by $1.7 million to cover the tax debt, and the remaining $823,000 will be given against the legal damages faced by Josh Webber.

Dash was paying his former partner, Roy, $3000 per month for his 15-year-old daughter, Tallulah. Neither Dame Dash nor his legal team has recently commented on the ongoing developments.
