On a recent episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, 50 Cent spoke at length about Rick Ross, stating that the lifestyle Ross shows on social media is just a “presentation.”
During the interview, 50 Cent also talked about Ross not being able to maintain his Georgia mansion, The Promise Land, due to insufficient funds. Cent said:
"You see that big white elephant, that property that he lives at? It costs more than the nightclubs. He's in the nightclubs. We know what they give you. He can stay until he's a squatter, holding on to the leg of the chair that moves. But that's what it is. It's just part of a presentation."
The rapper then joked and said:
"What kind of rich ni**a cut his own grass? Why you out there cutting your own grass? You tryna to save money, ni**a? You don't want to pay for the lawn to get cut, huh? The AC is broken in that motherf**ker.”
As soon as 50 Cent’s comments about Rick Ross faking his lifestyle went viral on social media, Ross was quick to reply to respond on his Instagram story. Listing his various assets, he claimed that he owns a huge property in Georgia, a private jet, and much more.
Rick Ross also questioned 50 Cent’s loyalty to Dr. Dre, accusing him of siding with Drake in his rap war with Kendrick Lamar. Furthermore, 50 addressed his feud with Ross, saying that he does not see it ending soon.
For the unversed, the two rappers have been feuding since 2009, often speaking ill of each other in songs and interviews.
“I thought you was loyal to Dr. Dre?" — Rick Ross questions 50 Cent after the rapper talked ill about Rozay
While the feud between Rick Ross and 50 Cent’s feud is not new, it reignited when 50 commented on Rozay’s lifestyle. These comments prompted a response from Rick Ross, who accused the In da Club rapper of not being loyal to Dr. Dre.
Stating how 50 Cent, AKA Curtis James Jackson, has often been spotted with Drake, Ross mentioned:
"I thought Dr. Dre put you on? I thought Dr. Dre was the set? I thought you was loyal to Dr. Dre? You mean you went with the Canadian over Dr. Dre who you said changed your life. I thought…loyalty. But you did shut the f**k up when once the Canadian took the L, you got totally quiet. You did."
The feud between the two rappers has been going on since 2009, after Curtis James Jackson criticized Ross’ song, Mafia Music, in an interview with MTV. The tension escalated when Curtis appeared in an interview with Tia, the mother of Rick Ross’ son, in February 2009, where they criticized Ross for his past as a correctional officer.
In response, Rick Ross released a diss track, Kiss My Ring Finger, Curly, targeting 50. The feud further intensified when Curtis released his own track, Pimpin Curly, taking a jab at Ross. Throughout the years, the two then released many tracks taking each other down, such as Tia Told Me, Push ‘Em Over The Edge, I’ll Be The Shooter, and more.
However, the feud has once again ignited between the two, as Curtis James Jackson also mentioned in the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast about how he feels that Rick Ross only mentions the rapper to “get attention.” He claimed that “nothing else works for him,” however, 50 Cent always “gets covered across the board.”
As soon as the recent interview and Rick Ross’ reply went viral, social media users were left divided, as a few have sided with 50 Cent, while others have bashed him for his comments. However, at the moment, Curtis James Jackson has not yet responded to Ross’ comments on the Instagram story.
