After winning a Grammy for his Billboard No.1 hit All My Life (feat. J. Cole), Lil Durk is now potentially facing life in prison, if convicted, over allegations of a "murder-for-hire" scheme.

Durk Devontay Banks was arrested by federal authorities in Florida on October 24, 2024, and held at Broward County Jail. He appeared at a pre-trial hearing in Miami on October 29, where CBS News reported that he was represented by attorney Alex Ubieta.

According to prosecutors, Lil Durk allegedly "masterminded" a hit on rapper Quando Rondo in retaliation for King Von's murder in 2020. The indictment lists five individuals, supposedly associated with OTF, for carrying out the assassination.

While Rondo survived the 2022 drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, his cousin, Lul Pab, was shot several times and succumbed to his injuries. Since the unsealing of Banks' criminal complaint, social media has been flooded with rumors accusing OTF Jam of allegedly "snitching" on Lil Durk.

Internet personality and streamer DJ Akademiks fueled the speculation by suggesting OTF Jam wore a wire for several years in an attempt to incriminate Durk and gather information for the Feds.

Who is OTF Jam? Relationship with Lil Durk revisited as 'snitching' rumors surge

OTF Jam, born Kacey Hester, is an active member of Lil Durk's record label OTF (Only The Family), alongside rappers like Jusblow600 and former member King Von.

Previously, Jam was convicted of a shooting in 2010 and was asked to serve a minimum of 12 years in prison, which he completed before being released in February 2022.

The multiple snitching allegations reportedly surfaced after a court indictment, suggesting a member from Durk's record label (OTF; Only The Family) had been cooperating with the Feds for several years, was filed in Los Angeles.

DJ Akademiks took to social media a day after Durk's arrest to suggest Jam had snitched on the OTF CEO, in his Instagram caption that read:

"He reportedly served a 12-year sentence in prison and came home and then got booked shortly on a gun right after allegedly Durk gave him $50k as a coming home gift."

While these rumors were supported by reports from internet personalities and publications, the theories of OTF Jam snitching on Durk appear to stem from Wack 100's recent interview with hip-hop journalist VladTV.

Wack explained how although Jam served his full 12-year sentence, his catching a second "gun charge" resulted in him snitching on Lil Durk.

"He did 12 years, got out, interviewed, said he kept it real, brought him cars, gave him 50,000. Made mention that ain’t no smudge on his name, he ain’t never been a rat, caught a gun case, but eventually, he flipped." - Wack 100 stated.

While several publications continue to claim OTF Jam as being listed "by name" as a police informant in the court papers, neither the criminal complaint nor Durk's indictment document supports these rumors.

However, it is true that several individuals and key witnesses have been kept hidden, with the indictment referring to them via their initials. That said, no direct connection between Lil Durk's arrest and OTF Jam has been discovered.

Unsubstantiated rumors have now surfaced claiming Durk put a hit out on OTF Jam's baby mother, Octavia Redmond, after supposedly finding out that he was wearing a wire. Redmond was tragically shot and killed in broad daylight on July 19, 2024, near the West Pullman locality in South Chicago.

As of now, neither OTF Jam nor his legal representation have made any public statements regarding the allegations, resulting in rumors surrounding his involvement in Lil Durk's arrest and the OTF murder trial going viral across social media.

New reports suggest that Jam allegedly leaked a diss track aimed at Lil Durk, whose lyrics have gone viral for supposedly "incriminating the OTF crew" and their operations.
