Rapper 50 Cent took to Instagram on December 19, 2024, to share a video of fellow rapper Benizo and his girlfriend, which has since gone viral. The video shows Benizo crying uncontrollably while his girlfriend Ashley Bell tries to calm him down. Since the video went viral across social media platforms, Benizo has addressed it and clarified its contents.

The footage shows an almost naked Benizo on his knees crying before he grabs a knife and holds it to his throat, according to Hot New Hip Hop. In the background, Bell is heard urging her boyfriend to put the knife away as she asks him to give her the knife.

The video also features her telling him that she "will let [them] know you're calm," adding that she will call them back.

In his caption, 50 Cent implied that Benizo was threatening to harm himself after Ashley called the police on him for "allegedly beating her."

“Benizo caught on video by his girlfriend Ashley Bell threatening to unalive him self with a knife because she called the cops for him allegedly beating her,” he wrote.

However, Benizo has since taken to social media to clarify that he was acting in the video. He also said that he was preparing for a movie he was starring in, adding that he would never physically abuse women. His Instagram account was deactivated at the time of writing this article.

It is worth noting that 50 Cent and Benizo have had a beef for years. Benizo is a Boston, Massachusetts-born rapper who also helped in co-founding The Source magazine, as he attended Harvard University in 1988. He gained fame after appearing in VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.

What did Benizo say about the video? Rapper addresses footage 50 Cent posted on his Instagram account

According to a report by The Shade Room, Benizo uploaded a new video of himself addressing the video that went viral. In his public statement, the rapper said that he was doing okay and was “rehearsing for a movie.”

He added that Ashley was helping him out with a script reading, which was a rehearsal for a scene in a movie. He noted that he would "never ever put [my] hands on any woman."

“I would never have done that in my life, that’s for cowards. I would surely not do anything to hurt myself. So shoutout to all the people that were concerned but I’m okay,” the rapper said.

Benizo then directly addressed 50 Cent and thanked him for promoting him and his upcoming movie.

“Keep on posting me that’s dope. You know what I’m saying? Here post this. I’m in that gym heavy. Lifting 315. What you doing Curtis?” he said.

The last time Benizo and 50 Cent made headlines was in April 2024, when the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star claimed that he would win a fight against 50. He made an appearance on the We in Miami podcast on April 24, 2024, where he made the claim.

"Yeah I think like in a boxing match, like if we to box in a couple of months and I train, hell yeah I box 50, hell yeah,” the rapper said.

In the same interview, Benizo alleged that 50 Cent and Sean “Diddy” Combs were beefing because the duo were involved with the same woman, Daphne Joy.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent had not addressed the video of Benizo he posted on his account at the time of writing this article. It is also worth noting that no publication has shared news about any movie Benizo is supposedly starring in.
