An old video has resurfaced on social media, which shows the infamous fight between Jay-Z and Beyonce’s sister, Solange. In the video which dates back to 2014, Solange, Beyonce and Jay-Z can be seen in an elevator, when Solange allegedly attacks Jay-Z, kicking him and swinging at him.
As Solange attacked Jay-Z, his bodyguards attempted to hold her back, however, the masses were left shocked to see how Beyonce did not intervene in the physical spat and did not try to spot Solange or step up for her husband, Jay-Z. It is worth noting, that in the video, Jay-Z only tries to stop her and defend himself, but does not hit Solange.
While the trio, Beyonce, Solange or Jay-Z have not yet commented on the resurfaced video, US Weekly reported in their report in May 2024, that the alleged feud between the two took place a decade back, in May 2024, after a Met Gala after party. As per ABC News, a disagreement took place between Jay-Z and her sister-in-law, due to which the alleged spat took place.
Jay-Z even spoke about the incident in 2017, as he was interviewed by Rap Radar hosts Elliott Wilson and Brian Miller. At the time, the rapper said:
"We’ve always had a great relationship. We've had one disagreement. Before and after, we’ve been cool, That’s my sister. Not my sister-in-law, no, my sister. Period."
However, the video has now resurfaced at a time when the record producer is already in the public eye for a refiled s*xual assault lawsuit, leaving fans and followers even more shocked about the 2014 incident.
Jay-Z accused of assaulting a 13-year-old girl: Details explored as the video of his elevator fight with Solange resurfaces
Tony Buzbee, a Houston-based lawyer refiled a lawsuit on Sunday, December 8, 2024, adding Jay-Z’s name to a s*xual assault lawsuit, in which Diddy was the only defendant earlier. Claiming that both Diddy and Jay-Z s*xually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in 2000 during a party, the lawsuit claimed that the defendants spiked her drink and took advantage of her situation.
Tony stated that “Jane Doe” approached Diddy’s driver as she wanted to attend the MTV Video Music Awards afterparty, after which she was taken to a white house, where several celebrities were partying, drinking alcohol, and consuming drugs, as her the plaintiff. It also claimed that the accuser was allegedly asked to sign a “non-disclosure agreement” as a condition to enter the party.
However, Jay-Z has refuted the claims in the civil lawsuit, stating that the lawyer was attempting to extort exorbitant sums from him. In a statement to NBC, Jay-Z said:
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whoever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case. My only heartbreak is for my family.”
On the other hand, Diddy’s lawyers have also denied the allegations, however, the music mogul continues to remain in prison on several charges like s*xual assault, trafficking, conspiracy, and even fraud.
