On July 27, three suspects in the murder of Florida rapper Julio Foolio were taken into police custody, while the whereabouts of two other suspects still remain unknown.
The news of the arrests was confirmed by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on July 29. The suspects were identified as two 21-year-olds Alicia Andrews and Isaiah Chance Jr., as well as the 18-year-old Sean Gathright.
In the wake of the arrests, videos and images emerged online that revealed Alicia Andrews allegedly partying with Julio Foolio on the night leading up to his murder. Meanwhile, law enforcement reports suggest that she was the one who “disclosed” the location of the rapper to the killers.
She is facing the charges of premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm and conspiracy to commit premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm.
All you need to know about Alicia Andrews, the suspect in Julio Foolio’s murder investigation
On June 23, 2024, Julio Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones, died after allegedly being shot multiple times in the parking lot of a hotel Holiday Inn in Tampa, Florida, where he was celebrating his 26th birthday. He was a member of the 6 Block gang and his fatal shooting was probably related to gang rivalry.
As part of his murder investigations, five suspects have been identified. Over the last weekend, three of them were arrested, including the 21-year-old Alicia Andrews.
She has been charged with two felony counts, including premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm and conspiracy to commit premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm, as per police reports. However, she has not been charged with the act of firing the gun.
The Jacksonville resident allegedly helped in tracking and following Julio Foolio on the fateful night and even traced the rapper and his crew to two separate locations. Andrews was reportedly in touch with another suspect Isaiah Chance Jr. throughout the night.
As per law enforcement reports, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the Tampa Police jointly arrived at Chance’s residence in Captiva Bluff Road North on Saturday with arrest and search warrants.
Later, they surrounded the perimeters and after 15-20 minutes of warning, Chance along with Andrews left the house. Alongside Foolio’s murder charges, Alicia is now also facing “resisting an officer without violence” charges for failure to surrender and is currently being detained at the Duval County Prison.

Along with Alicia Andrews, Isaiah Chance Jr. was arrested and is currently facing similar felony counts of premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm and conspiracy to commit premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm. He also resisted an officer without violence during his arrest.
As per police reports, Chance is a documented ATK gang member who helped Andrews follow Foolio’s movements throughout the night of the incident and was driving one of the suspect vehicles. He is not facing the charge of firing the gun.
As per Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Chance used his cell phone to make multiple calls at two stops, for which he exited the vehicle. Later, he met his co-conspirators who arrived in a second vehicle and went to ambush Foolio at the crime scene.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Sean Gathright who was arrested on Saturday at a shopping center in Jacksonville is facing multiple felony charges including two counts of premeditated murder with a firearm, three counts of first-degree attempted premeditated murder with a firearm, and tampering with physical evidence, police said.
The resident of Northern Jacksonville is reportedly not affiliated with any gang but has been identified as one of the three shooters of Julio Foolio. Both Chance and Gathright are currently being held at Duval County Pre-Trial Detention Center, awaiting a transfer to Tampa.
Two other suspects continue to remain at large including Rashad and Davion Murphy, who are 30 and 27 years old respectively. Both are 1200 gang members and the two other shooters in Julio Foolio’s murder. Despite having the same surname, it remains undisclosed whether the two are related.
Warrants are out for their arrests and they are high on the wanted list of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Tampa Police, and Hillsborough County DA’s Office. They are each facing one count of first-degree murder as well as three counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Apart from killing Julio, the suspects also seriously injured three of his associates, who were hospitalized and are currently in recovery.
Hillsborough County State Attorney Susan Lopez stated at a news conference on Monday afternoon that all the five suspects were “facing life” in the Florida State Prison, including the ones who “didn’t pull the trigger.”
