Nicki Minaj surprised fans when she brought out fellow rapper Big Sean as her special guest during her show at Kia Forum in Inglewood on September 22, 2024. Minaj and Sean performed their collaborative song Dance (A$$) in front of the LA crowd during the former's American leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour.
Barbz online were ecstatic to see Nicki Minaj and Big Sean performing together on stage, with one person tweeting:
Many agreed with this sentiment, adding the two were a much-needed pair and calling their performance "fire."
"Big Sean and Nicki Minaj together truly the duet needed," one person said.
"Concert on fire," another person added.
"That must have been an incredible surprise! Big Sean and Nicki together always deliver an amazing performance," another user commented.
"Nicki and Big Sean on stage? That’s a power move right there! Talk about a vibe check—LA got a front-row seat to some serious magic! Can you imagine the energy? The crowd must’ve lost it!" someone else wrote.
However, not all were enthused to see Big Sean as a guest performer. A few took to social media to express their disappointment at the surprise feature and Minaj's outfit.
"This was the big special guest…?" one person questioned.
"Lmao the way no one cares not even the garbz," another person added.
"The way nobody knows this khia," someone else said.
"Nicki always has the strangest outfits..." another netizen noted.
Nicki Minaj and Big Sean also performed at her Detroit show
This is not the first time that Nicki Minaj has brought Big Sean out to perform during her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The two rappers reunited on stage at her April show in Detroit, where they performed Dance (A$$). The song is a remix of the seventh track from Sean's 2011 album Finally Famous.
Minaj and Sean have also collaborated on the latter's 2013 song MILF with Juicy J. Minaj and Sean also appeared with 2 Chainz in the YG track Big Bank.
Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday 2 World Tour began in Oakland on March 1, 2024. The rapper took her tour worldwide, performing across the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK. She started the second American leg of the tour in Philadelphia on September 4. Her tour will end with the final show at UBS Arena on October 11.
The tour was to promote her 2023 album Pink Friday 2, the follow-up to her debut 2010 album. Big Sean was one of the many guests that Nicki Minaj brought on stage throughout her tour. Other guest performers include Tyga, 50 Cent, Drake, Cyndi Lauper, and Central Cee, to name a few.
In other news, Nicki Minaj recently unfollowed Sean 'Diddy" Combs on Instagram following the news of his arrest on September 16. Combs, who was charged with "racketeering, s*x trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution," was denied bail on September 17.
The rapper and Bad Boy Records owner, who is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center, is reportedly under suicide watch. A conference hearing is scheduled for September 24, 2024.
