On Thursday, January 2, Boosie Badazz took to X to defend his parenting skills after the rapper was criticized on social media for gifting his daughter a Porsche on her 16th birthday. The tweet comes a day after the Lousiana native uploaded photos and videos from the 16th birthday party of his daughter, Lyric Beyonce Hatch.
In one of the videos, Badazz drove in a black Porsche 2025 with a large red bow stuck on the front. The Ungrateful rapper stepped out of the driver seat, hugged Lyric, and showed her the car.
In a second video included in the post, Lyric was recorded sitting in the Porsche's front mseats, with multiple dollar bills on her lap. While some netizens praised Boosie for being a good father, others criticized his decision, even questioning if he would take the car back in the future, AllHipHop reported.
For the unversed, the comments reference a 2023 incident when Boosie Badazz seized the car - a pink Mercedes-Benz - he had gifted one of his other daughters, Toriana Hatch, on her 16th birthday.
Boosie hit back at the critical comments by asking the netizens to be happy for a child, writing:
"Be happy for a child smh, she's a 16-year-old straight A student with a 2025 Porsche that's paid for."
Further explaining his parenting on social media, the Bankroll rapper wrote:
"I only took one car back out of 5 boo boo. Some kids' phones get taken when they mess up and some kids' cars get taken with they mess up, it's called parenting. So y'all worry about them androids and phones and I'm gonna worry about these Porsches, Benzes and Audi Trucks LOL."
Toward the end of his tweet, Boosie also asked the netizens for the gifts they had received on their 16th birthday and her children had gotten on theirs:
"N one more thang! What did your babydaddy get your child on their 16th? What did your daddy get you for your 16th? Where I'm from doing for your kids is keeping it gangsta."
Boosie Badazz is expecting his ninth child
Boosie Badazz's latest tweet comes months after the 42-year-old rapper announced expecting his ninth child with Rajel Nelson.
The No Juice rapper made the announcement in an Instagram post uploaded on November 2, attached with a video in which he was dancing near his courtside seat while at the games where the cheerleaders were performing their set.
The caption of the post read:
"Baby OTW dance! I'm about to be a daddy again!"
Over a week later, Badazz hosted a gender reveal party for his unborn child alongside his own birthday party on November 14. Uploading a video of the sex reveal on Instagram the following day, Boosie wrote that her "girl number 9" was on the way.
So far, Boosie Badazz has eight children with six different women; their names are:
- Ivy Ray Hatch
- Lyric Beyonce Hatch
- Toriana Hatch
- Iviona Hatch
- Michael Jordan Hatch
- Tarlaysia Hatch
- Torrance Hatch Jr
- Laira Jean
Before the news of another kid on the way, Boosie Badazz made headlines for not allowing his openly gay daughter into his house when accompanied by her partner, per HotNewHipHop.
Explaining the reason behind the decision over social media, the Worth It rapper said:
"Because I don't want it to contaminate her other... It's a generation we raising. I don't want her to contaminate her other six, seven sisters who look up to her. I want them to bring me grandchildren the right way. If I want grandchildren the right way, that's what Ima stand on."
Boosie Badazz continued:
"If I don't want my other little girl to look at daddy and say, 'What's that, daddy?' to somebody she looks up to? It's not gonna come around. My grandfather didn't let it, my daddy didn't let it, and I didn't let it."
Boosie Badazz recently gifted his homosexual manager, Jay Cooper, a diamond necklace with each diamond in it paying homage to the LGBTQ flag as a holiday present. Cooper uploaded a video of the necklace on his Instagram handle.
