New York Supreme Court Judge Erin Gall recently made headlines after a disciplinary panel suggested her removal keeping in mind her alleged misconduct at a 2022 graduation party. Gall was allegedly involved in a racially offensive rant outside the graduation party, and even threatened to shoot Black teens.

Trigger warning: The article contains references to racial discrimination. Readers' discretion is advised.

In 2022, in order to make four Black teens get way from the party, Gall got into an altercation with them, which led to the police arrival on the location. The series of the alleged racial comments unfolded then, when she yelled after one of the teens lost their car keys. She continued yelling and telling the teens that they had to book an uber because she wouldn't let them get the keys.

Bodycam footage from the officers present there, captured a conversation between Erin Gall and the cops, where she was heard saying,

"Listen, but guess what, the good part is – the good part is I'm always on your side. You know I'd take anyone down for you guys. You know that. don't look like they're that smart. They're not going to business school, that's for sure."

She further addressed a possible situation to the cops, when the teens came back to look for the keys. Gall added,

"You can shoot them on the property. I'll shoot them on the property."

The recently released bodycam footage and the allegations against the judge had outraged many people, including rapper 50 Cent, who further urged for her removal.

On Wednesday, he took to Instagram, and upload a post sharing the footage and captioned,

"SMH she should be removed. This is bad. Repost this video."

A disciplinary panel suggested Judge Erin Gall's removal after her racist remarks in a 2022 incident

In July 2022, Erin Gall was attending a high school graduation party at a friend's place. The party later witnessed a fight between the invited and a group of uninvited teens, which further led to the local judge's outburst. The four Black teenagers who crashed the party reported getting the address of the place and arriving there without any invitation.

Erin Gall found herself involved in the argument as well, where she was captured in the police bodycam footage yelling at the party crashers. She shouted and said,

"You got to leave! You're not going to find your keys. You got to call an Uber and get off the property."

When one of the teens lost the car keys and was looking for it, Gall addressed them and said,

"Well, you're going to get in an Uber, buddy, or you're going to get a cop escort home. That's how it's happening. That's what I'm telling you right now..."

Judge Erin Gall then tried to get the law enforcement officials to arrest the Black teens for trespassing and added that she'd "done it a million times." Gall kept focusing on the part that she was a judge. Along with Gall, her husband and three children were also present at the party. Her 18-year-old son and her husband further got into the altercation as well. She spoke about their involvement too, and said,

"My husband and son got hit first . . . but they finished. Like I taught 'em."

The internet had since then been enraged with the behavior that they noticed on the disturbing footage. Many bashed the judge for her alleged racist remarks toward the Black teenagers. According to a report issued on July 22, by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct,

"Her wide array of misconduct severely undermined public confidence in the judiciary and in her ability to serve as a fair and impartial judge."

They further suggested that Judge Erin Gall should be removed based on how the events unfolded back in 2022. Even after the incident, Gall was a part of the bench for about two years, until recently when she received a paid suspension, with an annual salary of $232,600.

Erin Gall's attorney Robert Julian claimed that they'd appeal the suspension decision

Attorney Robert Julian claimed that the suspended judge was in a "state of fear, dismay, frustration and exhaustion" when she made the alleged racist comments addressing the Black teens outside the graduation party. During her testimony, Erin Gall claimed that the chaotic event at the 2022 party reminded her of an assault she allegedly suffered in 1990 as a college-going kid.

Robert H. Tembeckjian, the commission's administrator and counsel, described the comments made by her to be extremely shocking.

Judge Erin Gall, who is also a Republican, as reported by The New York Times, got elected as a Supreme Court judge, back in 2011. The outlet further revealed that the judge would have 30 days in hand to appeal the commission's decision.
