What happened to Brandon Casey? Jagged Edge member shares image of totaled car after accident put him in the hospital

Jagged Edge singer Brandon Casey spent five days in intensive care at the Grady Trauma Center after a "fender bender" left him with several injuries for which he needed to be rushed to the hospital.

In a Wednesday, July 17, Instagram post, the 48-year-old singer posted a photo of his totaled car, admitting that he's lucky to come out of the accident alive. Alongside the image of his car with an unmistakable wreck on the driver's side, Brandon Casey wrote:

"I never post these type pictures upon delivering the news that I been hurt cuz the people who really love me don't play about me and I don't wanna add to they fright of how I may be doing but ima jus post this jus so u kno neither wreck was a fender Bender I could be probably should be dead."

The singer also acknowledged God's hand in protecting him during the accident, closing his caption with this line:

Oh except the Big fact the God does protect his Flock."

Friends and fans shared their well wishes for the singer in the comments section, with plenty of them acknowledging how lucky he was to come out of it alive with the damage in his car.

Brandon Casey revealed numerous injuries after his car crash

The day before sharing the image of his wrecked car on social media, the Jagged Edge member also candidly shared the several injuries he sustained that left him in the ICU for five days.

His July 16 Instagram post featured an image of a hospital chart, and in the caption, the singer thanked Grady Hospital where he was hospitalized following the accident. While the Jagged Edge singer didn't offer any details as to how the accident happened, it left him with several injuries.

Acknowledging the fans who want to know about his accident and whether he's doing well right now, Brandon Casey further wrote:

"I kno people wanna kno so here is it Broken neck 5 broke ribs skull fracture scalp lacerations and a bunch of pain all over my body but ima be good I promise yall."

He also gave a shoutout to the nurses who took care of and encouraged him during his stay. Casey also jokingly said in the caption that "something is trying to take him off this planet," but God keeps telling them, "Nope, not him, not yet."

This isn't the first time the singer has shared and talked about a major car accident while behind the wheel. The accident marks the second time Brandon Casey was involved in a nearly fatal car crash in less than a year. He previously shared an image of his totaled vehicle on Instagram in September 2023.
