DJ Mustard and TeeFLii seem to have resolved their differences after a feud over song credits. The multi-platinum music producer and the rapper had been feuding since 2022 over a song credit on Instagram. However, Mustard called for peace with a verse on Pray For Me, to which TeeFLii replied on X.
TeeFLii and Mustard's beef started on an Instagram Live in 2022 when TeeFLii questioned DJ Mustard's credibility without the former's contribution. In a separate interview, TeeFLii claimed that his collaborated single 24 Hours was Mustard's first platinum certification of his career. DJ Mustard construed it as TeeFLii taking credit for his career achievements and trying to downplay his work.

DJ Mustard's Pray For Me had an apology note for TeeFLii
DJ Mustard and TeeFLii were friends at the start of their careers and collaborated on multiple musical numbers to help each other grow. However, the 2022 squabble had worsened their relationship.
After two years, Mustard finally waved the white flag with his new release called Pray With Me. On the track, DJ Mustard left a message for his old friend and hinted at wanting to resolve the differences between them.
"Instead of arguing on Live I should have prayed with TeeFLii. I could have gotten straight to the point instead of letting jokes fly."
TeeFLii replied in a post on X on July 16, 2024, and wrote he wanted to pray with and for Mustard, and reciprocated DJ Mustard's efforts for a reconciliation.
He apologized for making the rash decision of going online with their private issue and not thinking about each other's families before starting a beef with a "brother." He concluded his tweet by alluding to a collaboration with DJ Mustard so that they could make "history."
"I forgive u bro u know I don't mind praying with u or for u I apologize for running to the net wit our issue i didn't stop to think about our family's kids none of that so on my part as a brother my fault I pray to God we can get bacc to making history stay blessed."
DJ Mustard talked about his childhood struggles and past traumas in Pray For Me
Besides resolving the difference between himself and TeeFLii, Mustard opened up about his past griefs, struggles as a kid, and other traumatic experiences in Pray For Me. In the interview with XXL Magazine, the rapper explained that Pray For Me is a rap where he explains his life story to the world.
"I always used to say I would never rap on a song. I feel like people have never heard my side of any story. But I felt like this was the perfect time to explain to everybody where I've been for the last five years," told Mustard.
The rapper also explained that the musical number was a serious ballad, talking about his personal and professional life in a vulnerable way.
"I always wanted to talk about something that was real to me, and that, even if you didn't like the rap, you really like, understood he's saying some real sh*t, what he's saying is honest, and it's vulnerable."
Pray For Me is a part of the album Faith of a Mustard Seed, which will come out on July 26, 2024.
