Claims of R&B singer Fantasia Barrino’s daughter Zion being hospitalized have spread across social media platforms this month. This comes after a website and a Facebook page claimed that she was admitted to the ICU.
Since then, Zion has taken to the internet to debunk the allegations.
In September, the website BCK Online and Facebook page Entertainment Enigma claimed that the celebrity child was in critical condition and was admitted to the hospital. The latter also shared an image of Zion in the hospital on September 16 and wrote online that she only had “a few days to live.”
The Facebook page also shared a link to the BigOakBay website, which reported:
“Fantasia recounted a visit to the hospital where Zion was undergoing a minor procedure. Despite her own anxiety, Fantasia remained composed, shielding Zion from her own fears. She knew her daughter was already nervous and made sure to be a source of calm and reassurance.”
As the rumors of Zion’s health not looking positive circulated online, she took to the internet herself to debunk the same.
Fantasia Barrino’s daughter Zion confirmed online that she was healthy
According to BCK Online, Zion took to her Instagram stories to debunk the rumors of her being in the ICU. In an Instagram story that has now disappeared from her account, the 23-year-old reportedly said:
“I’m not in the ICU. And wishing death upon me is really f**ked up,”
Hence, it is safe to say that the rumors regarding Zion’s health are far from the truth.
Zion’s full name is Zion Quari Barrino. She is the first child of Fantasia Barrino and Brandel Shouse.
Zion made an appearance in her mother’s 2017 music video When I Met You. She has since opened her makeup line, Quari Beauty, in December 2022. Fantasia Barrino also took to Instagram to congratulate her daughter by saying:
“She was my motivation to go for all I did. She was my biggest investor. Now I’ll invest back into her.”
Since then, Zion has also taken part in an unnamed filming project with rapper David Banner as per Fantasia’s Instagram account.
Fantasia Barrino is also a mother to Dallas Xavier Barrino and Keziah London Taylor, who are 12- and 3-year-olds, respectively.
