American rapper Gloss Up, aka Jerrica Russell, has found herself in a controversy with former manager Tatiyana Blood. On Saturday, January 4, a video went viral showing Russell getting into an altercation with Tatiyana. In the video, the rapper could be heard yelling:
"Tati, you’ve been playing with me, my kids, my mama, my label."
On the same day, Tatiyana took to Instagram Live to shed light on the events that transpired between her and the rapper. After confirming that the physical altercation took place, the former manager claimed it happened on January 1 at the Dreamz Restaurant and Lounge in Duluth, Georgia.
Tatiyana further shared details of the incident, stating:
"Out of nowhere, I was hit from behind. I didn’t see it coming at all. I feel intimidated when I go out, not knowing if someone might be watching or following me."
Gloss Up's ex-manager then spoke about the apparent injuries she sustained during the scuffle. As reported by HotNewHipHop, Tatiyana claimed she suffered injuries to her nose, knees, and hip. She further expressed that the incident has left her feeling unsafe and concerned for her security.
According to Tatiyana, she was out with her friends and talking to the lounge manager when the attack allegedly happened from the back.
Tatiyana Blood claimed Gloss Up attempted to file a restraining order against her
While discussing the alleged physical confrontation during her Instagram Live, Tatiyana Blood stated that Gloss Up attempted to file a restraining order against her without cause. Following the apparent assault, Tatiyana confirmed that she had filed battery charges against the 27-year-old rapper from Memphis.
Tatiyana then explained the reason for Gloss Up's attack. According to the former manager, the rapper allegedly assaulted her because she was dropped by her former record label, Quality Control. The ex-manager also claimed that "her (Gloss Up) music was not making any money."
As reported by Baller Alert on January 4, several bystanders who seemingly witnessed the attack urged Gloss to let Tatiyana go. The news outlet reported that after the incident, the rapper spoke about it online, announcing that she didn't care about any legal consequences.
In another Instagram live session, Gloss Up accused Tatiyana Blood of sabotaging her career. The rapper claimed that her former manager had cut her out of several deals and allegedly told promoters they didn't have to pay her. However, Tatiyana refuted these claims and mentioned that she had never caused any issues with the rapper's compensation.
In the latest livestream on January 4, Tatiyana further claimed that she couldn't even leave the scene because her vehicle was blocked by Tuson Jewell, Gloss's friend.
Following the incident, Gloss was reportedly arrested by authorities. Meanwhile, her sister shared a video on Instagram where she applauded the arrest. The sister said:
"We gone be back close when she get back broke."
This reaction shocked fans, as it seemed her sister was unconcerned about Gloss' arrest.
