JoJo Siwa recently opened her heart out on the recent episode of her iHeartRadio podcast, JoJo Siwa Now. During her podcast, revealed that she will never welcome Candace Cameron Bure on her podcast. Referencing her public beef with Bure, she stated,
"No real shade anymore. I just wouldn't have her on my podcast. You know what I mean... If I saw her, I would just not say hi.”
The fiasco between JoJo Siwa and Candace Cameron Bure took place in July 2022, when she posted a TikTok revealing her favorite celebrity, the coolest celebrity, and the rudest celebrity, whom she named Candace.
JoJo later revealed that she took Candace’s name because she had an unpleasant experience with her when attended the Fuller House premiere as an 11-year-old.
During her podcast, she also explained the whole situation, and stated how she did not mean that Candance was an “awful rude person.”
JoJo Siwa said,
"To me, personally, the rudest celebrity I'd ever met was Candace Cameron. She wasn't nice to me when I met her. That doesn't mean she's an awful rude person. That just means that she was the rudest that I ever met. Whatever. I flashed it quick, thought no one was going to ever see it."
Siwa also stated how she regretted flashing her image, as there was “no real beef” between the duo. She claimed it was because of an incident during her childhood when Candance was rude to her.
More details about JoJo Siwa and Candance Cameron Bure’s feud as the former talks about the Fuller House actor’s “traditional marriage” comments
As JoJo Siwa revealed how she does not want Candace Cameron Bure to appear on her podcast ever, social media users are now reflecting on the feud that took place between the two in 2022.
After JoJo revealed that she feels Bure is the "rudest celebrity," Candace also posted a video on Instagram at the time shedding light on the incident.
In the video uploaded on Instagram on July 26, 2022, Candace stated the two had a great conversation after JoJo uploaded the video and shared what had exactly happened at the Fuller House premiere. She revealed,
“I was shocked when I saw the TikTok on Sunday. She didn’t want to tell me. She said, ‘You know, I met you at the Fuller House premiere and I was 11 years old. She then told me that I wanted a picture with you, and you said ‘not right now.”
She then stated how she apologized to Siwa and stated,
“ I told her ‘I broke your 11-year-old heart. Ugh. I feel crummy,' JoJo, I’m so sorry.”
However, in her recent podcast, JoJo also addressed Candace’s “traditional marriage controversy,” which took place in November 2022.
Bure launched the Great American Family network, and in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, she stated she did not want to publicize LGBTQ+ marriage.
She said,
“I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment. I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core.”
JoJo Siwa then spoke about Candace’s remarks and elaborated on how she feels that the comment was hurtful to the LGBTQ+ community. She said,
"Whether she meant to do that or not, she still did it, and it still stung the community. Of course, you know, we're doing all this work to be more visible and out there for kids in the next generation to feel more normal.”
At the moment, Candace Cameron Bure has not responded to the statement passed by the singer.
