LANY's main guitarist and vocalist, Paul Jason Klein, recently met with an accident that hospitalized him. After the accident on June 6, 2024, Paul took to Instagram to share a couple of pictures of himself in the hospital and gave a health update to his fans. Sharing images of himself wounded in a hospital bed and a wheelchair, Paul Jason Klein wrote in the caption:
“On Thursday night of last week, I got hit by a car while I was on my Vespa heading home from the gym. I don’t really remember anything after the collision… I woke up on a stretcher being put into an ambulance. I’ve cried a lot of thankful and happy tears during the last few days. I know how fortunate i am to still be here. All of my vitals are good, but walking and moving around is still a challenge.”

He added that he is not “progressively better and will be at 100% soon.” He also shared that the doctors have advised him to postpone his upcoming shows in Australia and New Zealand.
“I’m getting progressively better though and will be at 100% really soon. the doctors have advised we reschedule our upcoming shows in australia and new zealand to fast track my recovery. for those of you that have purchased a ticket for aus/nz, hold onto them and the new dates will be released shortly,” Paul said.
Paul Jason Klein concluded the post by thanking his fans for understanding and promised to “heal up and get back to it.”

Paul Jason Klein announced that he would sadly have to shift his Australia and New Zealand tour. He added that his team would be soon updating the new schedule. Pop band LANY was scheduled to perform in Brisbane on June 19 and then in other cities of Australia, like Mt. Claremont and Adelaide, on June 21 and 23, respectively.
As per Song Kick, the band was to process to Auckland to perform for fans on June 30, 2024. After that, the band also scheduled many other shows in September and October in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Jong Kong, and many other places.
LANY is best known for its studio albums like LANY, Malibu Nights, Mama’s Boy, gg bb xx, and A Beautiful Blur. It has also released many extended plays like Acronyms, I Loved You, Make Out, Kinda, along with singles like Hot Lights, Made in Hollywood, Where the Hell Are My Friends, and even Yea, Babe, No Way.
As Paul Jason Klein updated about his health on social media, thousands of fans and well-wishers posted messages and wished him a speedy recovery. The band has not yet announced the new schedule for its Australia and New Zealand shows.
