Rick Ross and Trick Trick have had a long-standing dispute, reportedly stemming from the latter preventing Ross from performing at the 2014 Summer Jamz concert by Hot 107.5 in Detroit. Meanwhile, Rick Ross and Trick Trick have resolved their issues at a recent concert.

The artists performed together at the Out Community First Action concert of Michael 'Harry-O' Harris, held on September 17, 2024, at Pontiac. Ross was spotted performing in the single I'm Not A Star, which was released in 2010.

Ross then began speaking to the crowd, where he thanked Harry-O's contributions to Community First alongside those who were "making a difference in the community." He then addressed his beef with Trick Trick by saying:

"You flying me out last night, you having Trick Trick bring me out on stage. I'm sure everybody knows me and Trick Trick had out differences for over a decade, and here we are just moving forward, doing big things in the community."

Notably, the artists were spotted hugging each other before Ross began his performance of I'm Not A Star. Trick Trick has amassed a large fanbase with albums such as The Villain and Outlaw, and he has released numerous mixtapes throughout his career.

What sparked the tension between Rick Ross and Trick Trick at the Summer Jamz 2014 incident?

The incident occurred during the Summer Jamz concert on June 21, 2014, at the Chene Park Amphitheater in Detroit, where a large crowd had gathered outside for Ross.

The Hustlin' rapper later shared his experience through a tweet and added a blurred photo to the post. Alongside the picture, he wrote:

"Luv #Detroit I wuz ready to killm 2nite, heard it wuz a peace protest wit picket signs and locked gates haa."

While speaking at a press release, the venue claimed that Rick Ross was stopped by the crowd outside. Although Trick Trick did not address the issue from his side, his manager, Arthur Alston, appeared for an interview with MLive. He stated that his client was the one who prevented Ross' entry into the place.

Alston also stated that Trick Trick considered Detroit a "No Fly Zone" for people who don't provide support to the local artists. Notably, the statement referred to the rapper's single of the same name, and a portion of lyrics from the song also says:

"I'm just a phone call away / Come in without permission / I don't wanna hear sh*t you got to say."

Trick Trick refused to speak about his dispute with Rick Ross

Although Ross claimed that he was stopped by a crowd from entering the venue, Detroit Police denied the appearance of any crowd outside and that they had not received any calls requesting help.

However, Trick Trick refused to reveal any other details related to his problems with Rick Ross and posted a video about the same on YouTube. The clip included a message full of expletives, and it says:

"Concerning myself and that individual, it's none of your motherf**king business. That's a grown man; I'm a grown man. Grown men don't put grown men business out to the motherf**king public!"

Although both parties have resolved their issues, they have not yet announced any plans for a collaboration project.
