All about the lawsuit against Irv Gotti, as the plaintiff claims she suffered "constant abuse"

According to Billboard, on Thursday, July 11, 2024, Gotti was sued by a woman for sexual assault and rape. The lawsuit, which was filed in Miami-Dade, alleges that the Plaintiff has accused the producer of raping her on multiple occasions, including in Atlanta, Miami, and the Caribbean island of Saint Martin, during their relationship from 2020 to 2022. The documents read that they met through a mutual friend in the summer of 2020 at a poker tournament.

The accuser, whose name is referred to as Jane Doe, alleges that the record producer forced her into having sex with him as they flew to Saint Martin for vacation. She further claimed that the producer threatened to send her back home. Eventually, after coming back from the trip, the duo started dating, but Doe claimed that she suffered "constant abuse."

According to the documents obtained by Billboard, Doe had quoted an instance from January 2022 when they flew to Miami, and Gotti forced her to do oral sex for him in an elevator of the Four Seasons Hotel.

Another instance was mentioned from the same year when they both were on an Uber ride in Atlanta, and the record producer allegedly forced her into oral sex. According to the lawsuit, the duo broke up following these instances. The suit reads that Plaintiff suffered "emotional and psychological harm" for which the accuser was placed in the "psychiatric ward."

"As a result of this sexually abusive relationship, Plaintiff has suffered severe emotional and psychological harm for which she had to be committed to a psychiatric ward. These injuries continue and affect Plaintiff to this day," the lawsuit reads.

As per Complex, the accuser claimed that Gotti had made defamatory statements about her in his music and social network in Los Angeles, which had left her in fear of leaving her home. Jane Doe is pursuing compensatory damages and legal expenses related to allegations of defamation and sexual assault. She also requests a trial by jury.

For now, Gotti has not yet commented on 50 Cent's claims or his financial condition. However, in July 2022, exclusively with Billboard, the record producer confirmed that he transferred a 50 percent ownership interest in Murder Inc.'s past music recordings to Olivier Chastan's company, Iconoclast, specializing in music rights and brand management. He told the publication that he "had sold his past to ignite future."

"God himself is holding my hand right now, and I'm not letting go. I sold my past to ignite my future. I'm building Visionary Ideas Entertainment into a multi-billion dollar entertainment company," the R&B record producer said.

The 54-year-old record producer has not responded to the allegations. Additionally, there has been no official announcement regarding trial dates or the progression of legal proceedings.
