Olivia Rodrigo, who is currently in the middle of her Guts World Tour, decided to make a grand donation to Jhpiego. She was in Bocaue, Phillipines, on October 5 for a show. The most notable factor about the show was Olivia had performed infront of the largest audience in her life, which was about 55,000 people.

On October 6, the popstar shared a post on her Instagram feed, where she first expressed gratitude to all her fans in Phillipines, and how beautifully everyone welcomed her in Manila. She then added that her entire ticket sales profit from the show will be donated to Jhpiego.

In the caption of the post, she wrote:

"Been dreaming of this show for a whileeeee. My first time in the Philippines and also my biggest venue ever!!!!! thank you to everyone Manila for welcoming me so generously and making me feel so loved."

Originally known as Johns Hopkins Program for International Education in Gynecology and Obstetrics, Jhpiego was founded back in 1973. This nonprofit organization even received funding from the United States Agency for International Development. They primarily deal with issues related to reproductive health as well as family planning.

As of 2023, they cover several areas like maternal, newborn, child health, women's cancers, adolescent and youth health, and a lot more.

The organization is reportedly working in about 38 countries across the world. Some of the countries where they serve include Nigeria, Rwanda, India, Pakistan, Phillipines, Equador, and a lot more.

Olivia Rodrigo shared a photo on Instagram, of her visiting the onsite of Jhpiego

As mentioned, the popstar had previously visited the onsite of the non-profit organization, as suggested by one of her photos in the carousel. In another one, she could be seen carrying a sash with "Miss So Filipina" written on it.

With the beginning of her world tour in February, she decided to give back to the community by launching a global initiative named Fund 4 Good. According to EI Foundation,

"Olivia Rodrigo's Fund 4 Good is a global initiative committed to building an equitable and just future for all women, girls and people seeking reproductive health freedom."

For the first leg of her tour dates across the JS, Olivia got into a partnership with the National Network of Abortion Funds to "ensure those most impacted by systemic racism, misogyny, and healthcare barriers can get the reproductive care they deserve."

As for the huge donation to her own community through Jhpiego, she had previously spoken about her experience of being an Asian-American artist in the US. She revealed during a 2021 interview with V Magazine that she'd often receive some amazing messages from girls who would relate to her.

Olivia added:

"I sometimes get DMs from little girls being like, 'I’ve never seen someone who looked like me in your position.' And I’m literally going to cry. Like, just thinking about it."

Meanwhile, Olivia's fans have praised her for not just ensuring a successful concert in her home country, but also giving back to her own community.
