Rapper Mase recently declared that J Prince's choice to openly criticize him and fellow rapper Cam'ron over their evaluation of boxer Shakur Stevenson's performance had left him feeling "really disrespected."

This happened following Mase's Monday, July 8, appearance on It Is What It Is with Cam and Treasure Wilson. There, he spoke about Shakur Stevenson and said-

"He just needs to accept he's a defensive fighter. He's not an offensive fighter — and there's nothing wrong with that. He's gotta get some offense, and he's gotta get some strength in his hands."

Mase went on to say that Stevenson is a "cocky fighter" who approaches the ring more defensively than aggressively. If he faced Gervonta Davis, another elite fighter in the category, he believed Stevenson would lose as well.

It seemed that Cam agreed with his co-host as he answered-

"I got home, seen the 11th, 12th round, and saw n**gas walking out. Them n**gas was booing! I'm like, 'Yo, you're at home and they're booing you.'"

Following this, Stevenson's manager, J Prince, took to Instagram, and as a response to the criticism, wrote-

"NUMBERS DONT LIE HATERS DO… And to all of you haters who want to escalate that hate outside of the ring I'm Shakur's manager, and I handle all his business outside of the ring. In other words, Cam and Mase, I will fade all his shots and take all bets."

Mase-Cam'Ron and J Prince-Shakur Stevenson have been beefing with each other for the last week

Following Stevenson's fight last week, rappers Cam'ron and Mase and boxer Stevenson have been at odds. The rapper duo recently criticized Stevenson on their talk show after the fight, voicing their dissatisfaction with the fighter.

During their Monday, July 8, podcast episode of It Is What It Is, the two took a jab at the boxer, saying that Shakur is a cocky and aggressive fighter. Furthermore, Mase referred to Shakur's protective demeanor when he said he didn't want to see him fight anyone.

However, after this, the boxer's manager, J Prince, criticized the rappers for their remarks about the boxer. Prince then uploaded a post on his official Instagram account stating the same.

Despite Prince's reply, Cam and Mase continued to take jabs at the fighter. On Monday, July 15, on It Is What It Is, Mase referred to Stevenson and Prince's handling of the situation as an example of "where the game got messed up."

Mase further asserted that Prince is not conscious of himself. He went on to say that J Prince has no business telling Cam what he should like or enjoy when he puts on such a bad show. Mase went on to say that J Prince is not entitled to make threats.

He then added-

"Just 'cause this little ignorant n**ga got a few dollars, he make all of you that's supposed to be real run after his mission. This is a problem, J Prince, and I'mma tell you like this. If you're 60 years old and you're trying to be a street n**ga, you failed."

Mase went on to discuss his concerns over Prince's alleged "selectiveness" in his criticism of individuals in this way.

While this was going on, Cam agreed with Mase's assertion before voicing his own opinion. Cam said that he is "sick of" talking about Stevenson and claiming that this is the "most traction" the boxer has ever received at this level. He also stated-

"You 60. What are you talking about? I lost mad respect for you because I used to have mad respect for you. … Why do you think that you can tell us what we can and cannot say?"

After the recent podcast episode, J Prince or Shakur Stevenson has yet to respond to the whole situation.
